Furys win because his training team did not have much of a background
McCracken had been successful training Olympians

Easily Fury for me, for starters i did not give him any chance of beating Wlad yet he broke him mentally before they even got in the ring, did not fall for any of the pre fight nonsense that Klitchkos and K2 were known for like the spongy aprin and dodgy gloves and as awful as the fight may of looked he made a fool of Klitchko.

Joshua beating Wlad is also impressive but he was close to getting stopped, they went life and death.

This, this, and this. Wladimir was completely shot by the time of the Fury fight, but over his couple of years of inactivity he had become unshot again for Joshua.

I was more impressed by Wilder, but it was close. I was impressed by Wlad, lol, after his previous few fights. I felt AJ would win so i was less impressed by AJ, even though he had a great showing overall.

Most of all i was impressed Wilder took big shots and carried on. That makes the heavyweight division extra interesting from now on.

Wlad is what he is. He needs his feet set to punch, and Fury never let him get set - the feints, footwork and head movement took it all away from him. The 12th round, Wlad's best effort at selling out, was too little too late. Theoretically, he was going to let his hands go in the doomed return bout, but he would've found some urgency much sooner than the 12th if it was that simple. Trying to land your stuff on Fury is not like teeing off on Mariusz Wach. If Klitschko had started a rematch the way he fought the 12th, he wouldn't have lasted with Fury, who had the ability to ride whatever Wlad had to offer before going to work on a sagging fighter.

Whatever approach Wlad had taken, Fury had his number. Too versatile, with great fighting instincts. In reality, though, Wlad's ingrained conservatism means that little would have changed for his part.

The only guy who stood to be significantly different in a rematch was Fury. On home turf, he would've been much less hesitant to introduce the mauling, physical side of his game at increasing intervals (advancing behind a high guard with his fast feet). Even as pointedly shy of contact as Fury was in Germany, Tony Weeks managed to nonsensically deduct a point from him while allowing a flagrant flying headbutt from Klitschko to go unadmonished (much less actually punished). In the UK, Fury would have had no such qualms. The rematch would've been a rougher fight. Boxing purely for 12 rounds as he did in Germany, as opposed to going into the trenches and going for broke, was a gamble in itself. Winning the fight and winning with the judges are two different things. Thankfully, the right man got the verdict.

Joshua will struggle to get off just as Klitschko did, but he'll perhaps be more willing to let it all hang out as the fight progresses (won't help him, though).

Wilder's delivery is more of a threat.

Why I should be impressed by a fight where both fighters threw around 100 punches in total.

I think its a shame Fury never backed it up immediately. It left many questions. Was it because of Wlads personal problems? Did Fury just have his number?

It was an excellent win no doubt but Fury hasn't proved it wasn't a fluke yet.

Both AJ and Fury wins were impressive and time will tell who backs it up and who doesn't.

Joshua won clearly and emphatically, knocking Wlad down 3 times while passing a gut check in the fight of the year. He was happy to give Wlad a rematch. Fury danced his way to a safety-first points decision, pickpocketing Wlad of his titles and running from the rematch. Fury was the slightly less worse fighter on the night. Both were gun-shy and failed to land any significant blows in an absolute stinker. Fury is also a convicted drugs cheat.

It's clear who is the more deserving champion.

It isn't as binary as that really, both have impressive aspects in their own way. Either way, I'll go with Fury's win over Wlad. Younger and not coming off of a long lay off. No one's ever outboxed Wlad to give him an L either which is something worth noting.

This, totally -- In much the same way that Joshua laboured against Takam, and will go life and death against Parker.

Not to mention that Wlad very nearly had Joshua out of there after dropping him.

I love people trying hard to claim that Fury fight was a boxing clinic. I think Parker could edge out a victory against Fury. There was no effective punching in that fight whatsoever. I’m pretty sure Artorias didn’t waste his time making a punch count video for that fight. It probably would be 3 minutes long tops.
