If you want to play that game how's Hunter doing without Ward? FTR I think Sanchez is the best fit for Morrison, but Roach isn't bad either..
Who does Hunter train though? I feel like Roach trains a lot of mid-level to high-level guys. Hunter trained Dirrell, but Dirrell was already a shell of himself. As for Sanchez, I think he's overrated too.
Not playing this stupid game of circles with you again. You took an obvious dig at Roach and his coaching ability and I showed why it was stupid with Hunter as an example. You don't like Sanchez? Wow! What a shock as he doesn't have any fighters that you fawn over.
I actually think Roach was a brilliant offensive coach and great on pads. But now I feel like he's old. Btw I don't think Virgil is a great "boxing strategy coach", he's more of a motivator and knows how to manage his fighters emotions. I don't think Roach has any of these abilities.
a great coach only truly shines when they have great fighters with them. That's the point. Almost every coach has a period of downtime when their prized fighters become older or retire.
No Morrison left Roach and is now with Tom Virgets who trained his father. Bad move in my opinion. Now if they also got John Brown in the corner I might have a different opinion. Virgets was once described as a ‘PE Teacher’ and not a serious boxing trainer.
This is hardly a bad move. Roach is all over the place and Morrison needs direct attention now.......Its also now a short cut to cutting time lost BC Virgets knew Morrison Sr. and what he did and could correct his own mistakes with Trey and see what he does similar and so on as a fighter. I think he could show Trey the better style for a HW, Roach refined him, I think Virgets puts it all together now
What time will that fight be on Showtime? There is one Friday night, probably on the under card, but they should show it..................
Great fighter, at Cruiser he will be a monster. If a heavyweight is under 220 and his style can't beat Tyson Fury, he is better off at Cruiser
