Anthony Joshua Showing Off Blistering Hand Speed Ahead Of Joseph Parker Fight

I watched this video a few times and actually can't tell, but a couple of other recent videos of Joshua "showing speed" have clearly had the frame rate cranked up just before he starts doing things and then "wound down" when he finished... not even smoothly, just like someone sped the clip up abruptly while he was exercising and it looks quite jarring.

If this really is his speed then it's really impressive, I can't see anything in the clip to suggest it isn't aside from the fact that whoever does these videos aren't above doctoring.

 

I agree he should have rematched. I think he might still come back depending how all these Joshua/Wilder/Fury fights go. Larry Holmes was still fighting competitively at 51. I don't include his Butterbean fight age 53.

Robotic as in, exact same routine, jab jab grab, as if he was robotically manufactured and thats all he was programmed to do, not because he moves like a robot...

 

From recent photos/videos of AJ, looks like he's lost a lot of weight and is looking very fit and fast. Just hope he hasn't lost too much weight where he has a Chris Byrd or David Price moment.

 

Joshua will knock Wilder out, but it will be many years before Wilder fights Joshua if ever. Tyson Fury would toy with Joshua...................Vitali and Vlad would knock Wilder out right now. Wilder refused to fight an old Vlad, turned down a big money fight with him............

 

If Anthony Joshua goes on a Mexican met diet and stop Anabolism, he will probably become a lean 215 lbs better stamina boxer, but it might be a dependence issue by now, he likes the physical strength factor. Unlike Wilder, he is not a Pound for Pound puncher, this might be a one fight drop in weight a custom tactical advantage vs Parker high work rate, which is a good adjustment, because Parker only chance is late round stoppage due to Joshua running out of Juice.

A slim Anthony Joshua will not do better vs Wilder or Fury, in both fights Joshua best bet is to use his Anabolism to get good positions for an early KO.

The Takam stoppage was pathetic, that much I agree with, but the Klitschko one was legit. How could the referee possibly let that 11th round continue when Klitschko was just being pummelled and offering nothing back? WK threw 4 punches in the 11th and landed ZERO. Let that sink in for a second.

 

Yeah it's much easier to look quick when the frame rate is low, which is why in most youtube videos of fights guys look faster than when viewed on TV as not many youtube videos of fights will be at 60fps.

However fast Joshua is he won't match Parker in terms of hand speed and it's Joshua's foot speed and movement that will be more important than his hand speed, which is why he's shadow boxing in the long jump pit in that vid, which I assume is at the English Institute of Sport in Sheffield by the looks of it.

Lol am not saying he wasn't hurt but he was still on his feet and he was blocking aj wild swings and we are talking about a great fighter he could have been giving abit longer if aj is giving all the time in the world so should other fighters

 

I agree with you on Klitschko but the Takam stoppage was legit too.

Takam was cut around both eyes, was dropped 2 or 3 times, had lost every round and it was one way traffic with nothing coming back from Takam. Factor in that he needed a knockout to win but wasn’t throwing any punches and I think the Ref made the sensible decision to stop it.

Maybe he could have let it go on a bit more but why, Takam was beat and getting more beat with every second.
