You mean like Billups who went 12 with Lewis, KO'd by Sanders in 1?
Or like Cooper that took Holyfield 7 to KO, finished in 3 by Sanders?
Or like De Leon who took everything Holyfield could throw at him, KO'd in the first?

    etc..

Johnson and Dempsey fans can be delusional about their struggles.

King is correct. Sanders had a 2nd rate promoter and an unknown type of trainer. If he was backed by Don King I guarantee you he would have had a better career.

Lewis and Tyson used Sanders name for a possible opponent than picked easier guys.

Sanders didn’t get chances to fight Foreman, Moorer, Tyson, Or McCall in his prime when they had belts.

He had the ability. Probably gave Vitali his toughest title defense so we can use that as a bench mark.

yeh he failed to get into contention until rahman stopped him getting a title shot.

So, ergo, he had not the ability to get that title shot.

no we use his WHOLE career as a benchmark, not the tiny bit you want.

Did you know Sanders had a leg injury that prevented road work for the Rahman fight? A reason why he gassed a bit. Keep in mind thus was the best version of Rhaman, the one who KO'd Lewis with one punch in round 5!

Sanders did get his shot vs Wlad. Just like Foreman had perhaps his best win over Frazier in two rounds, you could say the same for Sanders.

If you want to look at past heavyweight champs who were upset, just name them...many lost to lesser than Sanders.

Sanders no doubt had fast hands, size and a lot of power. I'd compare his early KO record to Tyson or Dempsey. He stopped a lot of guys inside 3 rounds.

Heroldumbo additionally doesn't seem to realise that it was SANDERS giving Rahman a shot at his WBU title  Lil' Herol knows only enough to keep the Klitschko hate train rolling ...

Sanders tells a different story. "I'm not looking to make excuses", he says, "but everybody knows that a knee injury prevented me from doing sufficient roadwork leading up to the fight, and after five rounds it showed".

"I could have finished him off if I hadn't thrown my 'load' in the first four rounds. As it was, he never knocked me out. I simply ran out of gas."

    Holyfield? (Jesus Christ)

Aside from Wlad, Bert Cooper is probably Sanders' best win. Bert Cooper isn't even one of Dereck Jefferson's best wins.

Levi Billups lost to every heavyweight in the 90s with a boxing license.

If these are the wins of Sanders you're focusing on (Bert Cooper/Levi Billups), your argument is lost.

When all was said and done, Sanders was just another Heavyweight Explosion guy who had one good night against Wlad. He never duplicated it before that or ever again.

    Nope.

You have derailed from your own argument. You've lost track of the point and are now chasing butterflies.

    Try again.
