I think this could be the fight of the year, I think their styles will gel brilliantly.

I love him to win too, 20. In fact the only reason I'd want him to lose is if he wins we will probably have to watch Frampton beating him all over again!!!! :)

Seriously it's Valdez fight to lose. He has the speed and slickness to make Quigg look pedestrian, if he uses them. Quiggs only chance is to drag him into a war. With Valdez penchant for letting opponents do precisely that, Quigg has a great chance here. :)

They've sparred quite a few rounds together in the past haven't they? Any word on how that went?

I hope so. Sometimes with these the styles just clash though and make for a boring fight!

so you think both will win?

a lot of boxing fans do the same!!! fighter A early or B on points is the classic but yours is more articulate ,...

it is a 50/50 so pick a winner?

I don't mean to duck and dive. I thought I was being pretty clear. I think Valdez will win, but I want Quigg to win. Quigg is a very live underdog here.....so much so I might stick a bet on him if I can get to the bookies tomorrow, something I very rarely do...

True; you just never know. I just hope Quigg doesn't come out like he did v Frampton and hardly throws a punch for the 1st 6 rounds.

He did it in an earlier fight too, remember....was it salinas??
He has form for this. He was well on his way to doing it against Kiko too until he lucked out with the Hail Mary shot....

Yes your right Len the Salinas fight. Both times under Joe Gs instructions. Remember during the fight with Carl and literally throwing hardly a punch for 4 rounds Gallagher told him in corner your doing really well it's 2 rounds each lol !

Seeing as it’s not a mandatory I would imagine Valdez got a lot of confidence from the sparring.

Yes ....I remember straining to hear what was being said in the corner because at that time I'd lost confidence in joe g as a corner man and I suspected he might make a bawls of it. After the 7th I think, Joe told Quigg that sky had Carl 6-1 up and Scott nearly died of shock! Scott had been listening to Joe all along and thought he was doing fine in the fight. It's hard to understand how Joe could get it so wrong. (Or Quigg either).

How can either a pro boxer or a pro trainer see a fight so wrong? How can they see a man who ...literally...isn't throwing a punch, as winning? It's crazy stuff really.

Yes but the sparring wouldn't have been long enough or hard enough for Quiggs qualities of toughness strength stamina and punch to shine. So Valdez could have a false impression of Quigg. In a real fight it's different.
