I would give him credit if he does but I doubt he does. At the end of the day, money is far more important not only to him but his team.

Eddie Hearn just said Anthony Joshua is happy with Showtime and is staying on that network and not going to HBO. Golovkin threatens to pull out of the Canelo fight on HBO PPV. HBO just lost to Showtime with Kovalev (arguably their biggest star after Canelo) going head to head with Wilder (Showtime outdrawing them with viewers by a 2-1 margin). There will be convulsions at HBO Sports if Golovkin walks away. Time for Gennady to demand greater purse parity and have Canelo hand over more of his cut, or Golovkin can walk. Showtime (and Al Haymon) will welcome him with open arms.

After last Saturday, HBO is gonna be HELL BENT on making Bivol their future star. Kov and Golovkin are both old men who will be gone in a few years. And everybody knows deep down that Canelo simply ain't that good. Bivol is their only hope, and the good news for HBO is, he's only 27.
To say Canelo ain't that good is just ****ing ******ed. He's been tested against the best the sport has to offer time and time again in his career and though he might not be an ATG he's at the very least on the level of a Miguel Cotto and probably even better. Cotto was a big draw until the day he retired. Win or lose Canelo can remain a big draw.
This is what I find funny. Cotto actually has a deep resume. I don’t understand how people play charades like g has even done a fraction of what Cotto has.
Clenelo is 0-3 against the three best fighters he's faced, Floyd, Lara, and Golovkin. Don't let corruption fool you into thinking he's better than he is.
