There is no chance this ruins Campbell's career. Lomachenko may be the best boxer on the planet but he doesn't have the power to cause anyone long term damage. Campbell will get more exposure than he's ever had.

More the case of linares not taking it seriously have completely dominated the first half of the fight and if you think his basic style will do anything against Loma

so you can attest to his psychology going into the fight now? 1 i dont think his style will trouble Loma, Loma beats him comfortably and 2 can you finish that sentence?

Na im pretty certain Eddie would love him to win.... maybe he is acting on Lukes requests. Dont you wanna see guys in their prime and past the "learning phases" of their careers fighting the best or do you prefer to see them unchallenged? Or (the most likely option) just on to moan for the sake of moaning and have nothing constructive to add to the thread?! Who do you think Campbell should be fighting at this stage in his career, you are aware Luke is 30 now and in a couple years will no longer be at his peak therefore it could be argued if he was ever gonna take on a fight like this then now is that time?

Lol he dominated the first half of the fight so easy he took his foot off the gas and then let into the fight because it was that easy fighters do it all the time

Lol fight Mendy in a rematch then go from there it's that simple prove that it wasn't just linares having a off night or not taking it seriously and fighting Loma will not do that it's a money grab by hearn or Campbell or both Lol hell even easter or cummey

what does mendy do for his career? he needs big fights before he declines, no money and no interest in that fight, if he wins it gets him no more exposure and even worse if he loses the rematch it leaves him nowhere.

You say its a money grab maybe they have both looked at the his career and say that we might as well get as many big fights in as we can, as I said he is 30 now and will start to decline soon. This is the the exact time to be taking on the big fights. I would say a half decent display against Loma does more for his career than a win over Mendy.

"hell even easter or cummey" I've no idea what language that is sorry

Luke Campbell is a great, amazing fighter, and if it wasn't for the knockdown, he may have had the momentum to beat Linares. But lomachenko is a step too far. Campbell is a really good boxer, but he can't mix it with someone like lomachenko, but then again, who can...

I guess if it's in Hull, then he has a slim chance. The atmosphere will help him if they are at a stadium, Loma will be under pressure there. I fancy Campbell to win a few rounds, maybe 3 or possibly 4 at best on a really, really good day. I predict the fight ends on points with Loma winning 9-3. If it's in the U.S though or something like that, then Loma wins 10-2.

Good fight for Campbell who appears to want to test himself, Lomachenko wins but a very high skill fight.

I think Campbell beats Easter at 135 and think he would give Mikey Garcia a lot to think about.

Would still prefer Loma-Linares first choice though.

Campbell will get his arse kicked, get badly out boxed, but who else will fight Lomachenko?

Max Deluca had rounds 1-3 to Linares, and 4-6 to Campbell. In fact, by round 8, he had Campbell up 76-75.

Zachary Young also had rounds 1-3 to Linares with Campbell winning the next 4 consecutive rounds.

Victor Loughlin had Linares winning the first 4 rounds, but Campbell winning every single round from round 5 onwards.

So this idea that Linares dominated the first half of the fight is sort of rewriting history. Personally, I had the fight a draw but can’t argue too much with the 114-113 scorecard. Campbell imo is a very classy operator and one of our more skilful fighters, who can mix it with the elite and adapt during a fight. He got beat early on by Mendy. So what. Why do we write fighters off after a defeat?

Campbell might have a tough night against Loma but no way does he quit.

Linares won at least 4 of the first 5 with the knockdown there's no way linares was on top form he got beat so he should have a rematch it's not like he lost to a journeyman and its a pointless fight Mendy is on good run and highly ranked and Campbell is ok but compared to the top guys his basic
