    Baranchyk scores a quick flash knockdown early with the first blow shortly after the bell - a jab, catching Petrov unawares while pulling up his trunks and causing his glove to brush the canvas. Baranchyk is throwing quick jabs stepping in, caught on the forearms of Petrov as he starts revving the motor on his own jab a moment behind the starting-line gunshot. Baranchyk working overhand rights after baiting Petrov with a wide hook off the jab but keeping his guard very tight. Petrov is reaching in with body shots.

    Baranchyk scores another early knockdown, this one more legitimate than in the 1st, overwhelming Petrov with an extended flurry after Petrov had over-extended a series of left hooks downstairs from mid-range. Petrov not hurt, though. Petrov up and moving, barking as he throws his 1-2 after turning Baranchyk in the middle of the ring. Jabs and lead uppercuts from Baranchyk, also barking. Petrov jumps in with a lead hook, using it like a jab to set up a cross that manages to force Baranchyk's head to involuntarily turn but which he quickly shakes off, smiling. Baranchyk snaps a couple of jabs into Petrov's face, then backs him up with a 1-2-2. High quick left jabs from Baranchyk, hitting the wrist of Petrov and chasing him into the ropes. They exchange, Baranchyk looping a right and landing while Petrov counters with an overhand and lands.
