Yeah but Troyanovsky was horrible too. He was only a "world champ" (or rather temporary steward of the IBF strap) because he landed Cesar Rene Cuenca in the ring shortly after the B-level feather-fist Argentine (with a whopping two pro knockouts to his credit) scooped up the vacant belt in a fight with Chinese novice Ik Yang. The whole recent lineage of the IBF light welter title right now is of appallingly low quality. I'm glad, as a Crawford fan, that he ditched the division and with it that tainted belt.

Troyanovsky was knocked out in the amateurs with pillows and headgear on by Andrey Klimov, Klimov couldn't punch his way through cobwebs that had been spun by gay spiders lol.

'They had been eyeing Eduard Troyanovsky. But Lipinets’ manager says he was not at all surprised that Troyanovsky lost the IBF belt last weekend in a one-round, one-punch knockout loss to Julius Indongo.

“I put my money on it,” Alex Vaysfeld told Baldwomen.com. “Troyanovsky had one thing going for him. He does possess huge punching power. I’ll give him that. But other than that, he had nothing. The worst thing is he never had a chin. [Another Vaysfeld fighter, Andrey] Klimov knocked him out when he was an amateur. It would’ve been a great showdown between Sergey and Troyanovsky. It wasn’t meant to be.'

Maybe but Regis gets hit from the little I seen in this fight and Ivan "dead eyes" (credit to Cst for the nickname) hits like a ****ing truck. I think it will be fun.

Calling him the Russian Pipino Cuevas Jr. would be an insult to Pipino Cuevas Jr.

In boxing when a Russian faces a African in boxing from any of the 55 Africa countries across their entire continent of Billions .. say there's 1000 match ups, the Russia wins 997 times out of 1000 fights.:D

I wonder how Matt Remillard fared on the non-televised undercard. (thanks a lot, COS!)

I just checked and nope, COS isn't showing any bonus walkout bout coverage, either. Some documentary on basketball.

It appears he shutout Jesus A Valdez in a TD in the 8th of a scheduled 8-rounder.

(confused? The fight ended at the 1:58 mark, so I guess one guy or the other was unable to continue due to a cut from a foul or something with just a minute left before the final bell)

Although a second fight is pretty appealing now....
