Green Cruiser evander fought a war with qawi the first time.qawi is probably greater than quarry but h2h jerry is better ,stronger and bigger than qawi. Quarry beats the 187 pounder version of evander

Probably not. He had some nice skills along the lines of a poor man's Povetkin but even with that he didn't have the defense or dynamicism. An athlete like James Warring would give him a lot to handle.

If he did fight at cruiserweight he would have devastated the division and been one of the most highly regarded fighters to date, i mean look at what he did to undefeated champion mac foster, or the hardest hitter of all time earnie shavers, or ron lyle for that matter, but instead he fought against the greatest heavyweights of all time instead, which I do find more impressive.

One could argue though that his ideal opponent he did best against was big slow powerful types

He would be at least amongst the top competitors.
But if you ask about him, there are a host of greater fighters who easily fought under 200 in their prime.
Others like Frazier & Louis who could have lost a few pounds to make the limit.
Many many others who with day before weigh ins, could easily make Cruiserweight.
Since up to 10% weight loss is quite feasible.
That would be prime Ali & Holmes, Tyson, Liston, Holyfield maybe prime Foreman...

Maybe better to ask who could make & do great at LHW WITH day before weigh ins.
Then you would have Quarry as more of a stand out, along with Patterson, Dempsey, Marciano, Tunney...

Hed be a top contender for a long time but I think Quarry had a bad combination of bad luck and too emotional leading to bad decisions in the ring that would have always prevented him from becoming champion.

Well we have to consider the ATG fighters who fought at under or just over the limit I think he would be competitive fighting guys he would be compared with to a certain extent and he easily could be top 10 and breaking top 5.

    Dempsey
    Tunney
    Louis
    Marciano
    Walcott
    Charles
    Patterson
    Frazier

Foreman making the cruiser limit.... Give me a break Lmao.... The guy weighed 229 at 19 in the amateurs in the Super hw division actually he was naturally heavier than bowe and lewis that weighed 216 and 220 at 22 and 23 respectively in the final of the amateurs

Probably would be considered the greatest weight division in boxing if historically cruiserweight has always existed.

I think he'd beat Holyfield from Qawi 1, by the 2nd fight, Holyfield noticeably improved, I think that one takes JQ. I THINK.
