It was controversial in that many people thought Porter won. I thought Porter could have gotten the nod, and I'm not a fan of his style at all.

“It was a very hard fight,” Gassiev said afterwards. “He has hard punches all fight. He never gave up. He takes punches and he keeps fighting,”

Thurman new found hate as come from him not wanting Spence right now but take nothing away from the guy as I said after his impressive wins over Porter and Garcia that I’ll never doubt him again, the guy can Box on the inside and out and has reasonable enough power.

Gassiev has shown such an improvement since Lebedev that he’s no longer regarded as puncher imo,the jab,jab n left to the body finish against Wlodaczyk was straight out of the GGG,Abel Sanchez boxing handbook.
His wins against Lebedev,Wlod and Dorticos is probably up there with Porter,Garcia,Guerrero and Collazo if not better actually as you feel Thurman has had the luxury of picking opponents whilst Gassiev has not.
Thurman hasn’t faced a real power puncher yet and I’m betting Thurman,Porter and Garcia are hating Kell Brook now as he’s made em all look like a bunch of duckers, that said they might end up loving Brook if he drags Spence up to 154 for a rematch, far away from those three who Spence calls em Lame as f*** lol.

Lol that has to be one of the funniest posts I’ve read on here in along time.
I understand it’s the forgotten division with Eastern European names ect but you’d of thought most members of this forum would know that the Cruiserweight division is stacked and don’t forget after the Haye fight its looking like Bellew comes back to fight the winner of Usyk v Gassiev, some May laugh but I believe Bellew at Cruiserweight is a real handful.

Usyk, Gassiev, and Lebdev are the only guys that standout.

Dorticos - his power is overrated. He couldn't knockout Edison Miranda, who was shot and fat going into the fight. Miranda stood in front of Dorticos the whole fight and showed that Dorticos had a suspect chin. Gassiev proved Dorticos has no chin.

    Tony Bellew making Miranda quit.

Briedis - beat a shot Huck and Mike Perez, who is average at both cruiserweight and heavyweight.

Glowacki - wins over Cunningham, who was old and shot and Huck, who is shot.

Huck - Was a top fighter 5 years ago, but has been shot for at least 3-4 years.

Tabiti - Overrated. He struggled with Cunningham, who was over 40 and shot.
