So you see no talent in Yarde at all? You don't like the power or anything? I don't think anybody is saying thats hes going to smash Kovalev and Bivol (apart from his management which obviously is there job to hype him) but you are going over the top with your assessment. Built and guided right, I think the kid will go on to have a successful, and entertaining career - we will see what level he belongs at along the way.
Yeah, I see your point. Personally I didnt get the impression Summers fancies the fight unless he gets an offer thats too much to refuse which probably makes it unfeasible for Frank. In reality Summers is probably no better then Averlant and Sjekolka (both have fought much higher opposition) but because he's British, and there is name recognition because of Bugluoni etc the public would probably be ok with the fight and they wouldn't get the usual criticism about him beating up `eastern euro bums` as we all say on these forums.
Yeah thought that myself tbf. If the fight did happen Wud b a bit of statement sud yarde stop summers as buglinio never really had summers in trouble barring end of 3rd I think with a body shot.
He looked amazing against total trash then the slight step up all theses holes start to appear he fighting guys that he can just walk down that can't punch just like Eubank Jr let's see him show the same destruction when his getting clipped hard often and the power isn't anything special because his having it all his own way we'll he should be Franks doing a good job with the hype but not as good had hearn does
Yeah I'm not saying Burton is the best fight in the world. But he's British, a genuine light heavy, and gave the now-established British champ a very good fight. It would be a good step to get people talking about Yarde, and Burton would bring his best. I guess I always want to see our fighters do the business domestically before focusing on the alphabet rankings..
Yes, I make you right about the British scene. From Yarde's point of view, I agreed with their stance about Burton at the time it first came out, I didn't make sense. They wanted the Bugloni fight after he talked it up and they made a big offer only for Eddie to jump in and try to palm them off with Burton instead because he's expendable and he hasn't got a clue what to do with him. Anyways, I agree moving on Warren ideally needs to get Yarde an opponent he can have abit of Hearn style beef with to create more casual hype and to start selling tickets. That's why I thought they should get Summmers or maybe even Shinkwin or something.
It's plain to see that Yarde + Warren just don't fancy the Burton fight, or they would have taken it given that Yarde was offered several times his biggest ever purse and still turned it down.
Let’s face it. We all knew since the Tony irrelevant fight was announced he would win, Frank knew he had a big card coming in April that him and Dubois would be on. Why weren’t he working on potential big opponents before and after? He had said in an IFL interview that this card would provide bigger tests for the pair of them. It’s 4 weeks out and he’s still looking for opponents!
Frank had made the offer to Buglioni before that board situation- despite the BS it’s in the rules anyway that if Bug wanted to fight Yarde they could have asked Johnson to hold off. It was a farcical situation that only nearly 1 year later is slowely getting resolved (assuming Johnson makes it to the ring next week) The board only made that ruling to suit Hearn and Gallagher to get around the same stable situation. Burton has been in no mans land since- only 2 pathetic fights the last one Infront of about 15 people at that NXTGEN show when he was struggling against a bum who was walking him down and blodded his nose.
He looks pedestrian. Will not make World top 10. Fwank keeping him away from domestic level match ups is proof he doesn’t believe in him ....
That's right Frank had to problem sending skeete to fight eggington like you said if he had faith he would send yarde to a massive platform to win impressive but no
Yarde only started boxing about 7 years ago, had 12 amateur fights...he’s got 35 rounds of pro boxing under his belt. He’s still a baby in boxing terms. He needs to be handled with kid gloves. Athleticism will always come second best to boxing skills, he needs to be matched carefully or he will get found out.
