The very mention of dislocating knees makes me feel a bit sick. That must be some intense pain that, mate.

I do think this could be the start of all the problems with Groves. I appreciate it’s a different injury but you could see with Degale that he couldn’t throw a decent jab against Truax. There’s the physical recovery but what about the psychological recovery. Surely there’s going to be a little voice in your head saying ‘this is how it popped out last time, it might go again’.

the mental thing is very much applicable, when playing football I now wear quite heavy duty supports on my knee and I dont even know how much I still need to wear them but through fear I have never stopped.

The doctor told me after about the third dislocation that if it kept happening I would need surgery and possibly artificial ligaments which would have meant no more sport. I just stopped going to the doctors after that and started popping it back in myself when it happened. Im hard as nails you see ..... with a body made of glass !!

ps to be fair when I am playing i have never thought about anything happening with my knees during the game... before and after the game or just in the house I get sorta flashbacks or when I see someone do similar in sport I get total sorta pain flashbacks but nothing when I am playing your mind is in a different place.

    Rusty nails maybe!

Na it was the fear of not being able to play again! Believe it or not I have done my knee twice during 5's. But just hobbled into goals! I'm not lying about being made of glass tho, the amount of injuries I have picked up!

Apparently this isn’t confirmed yet and Kalle is still weighing it up.

If George doesn`t fight in the final the whole tourney becomes a sham.George has been the only draw in this comp from the start.

If the final is Smith vs. A replacement then the whole tourney falls apart. Give Groves as long as it takes I say, but I'd guess they want the current tournaments wrapped up before they announce the next ones.

If the worst happens and Groves isn't going to make it, I hope they pull out all the stops to get a good replacement in, and do it soon so they can have a full training camp. One of the other champions maybe, Ramirez or Benavidez. I think Ramirez and his team rejected the offer to go in at the start, but if they'e getting decent money they might be more interested after seeing how successful the WBSS has been. Any replacement would still be a major disappointment though. Groves needs to be in that final.
