If they popped GGG for clenbuterol instead of Canelo, the roaring river of excrement from the haters would not only totally engulf these boards but carve a path through the boxing internet the size of the Grand Canyon. It would make TKO6 look like an escaped embarrassing wet fart. The stinking brown gloop would coat everything for years. Not even an army of crack cleaning professionals could expunge all the poop from our sight. Avatars would be changed to "Triple Roid" and Clenlovkin.

If anything this is an underreaction to what would have happened if Golovkin got popped.

    this is an answer?!

"Yeah, why bother checking the meat to see if it's bad, we know it'll NEVER happen to us." This is an acceptable statement of defense from ASSOL...

The PED test doesn't indicate he's taken it ONLY Two months prior. This was the first test administered. What it means is he could have been on it before the testing even began. But that requires critical thinking, which you don't do.

Give me a break with that silly stuff. Reschedule for another 4 months out? Great idea...

I take it you've read every one of the comments 3G's team has made? Of course you haven't.

What Loeffler is doing to even the playing field is putting in a CLEAN boxer. that's all he has to do. It's not his job to make a clean playing field FFS....

If anyone else not named Canelo got popped, they would get banned for years. That's a FACT.

I don't get how it's somehow acceptable for a Mexican fighter to get caught, but not anyone else. If a British fighter got popped, if an American fighter got popped, if a Canadian fighter got popped, do you think it's OK? No? Then why the **** is it OK for Canelo? Does every Mexican fighter get to have an excuse that doesn't work for the rest of the world? If GGG got popped, people would discredit his entire career and all his KO's. Just think about that.

The tainted meat excuse is bullsh*t. Like someone said, he has to consume massive amount of tainted meat to have it show up at the level (600-800 picograms compared to Contador's 50 picograms). This has every indications of PED use. He has the money, his trainer has the know how and he can afford the best nutritional team. He's also a known bulky weight cutter who needs everything he can to make weigh. He's a PED cheat. It's as simple as that.

Yeah mate, let's give GGG some clenbuterol so that it can be an even playing field, great idea.

Dr. Nurjamal Nurlanev of KAZAD (Kazakhstan Anti-Doping) says that Clenela took Clenbuterol because he hoped the PEDs would imbue him with the confidence to fight Mexican style in the rematch.

    Abel Sanchez

‘How many times does this have to happen [before there are consequences]? Canelo is not living under a rock.

‘Canelo lives in Mexico, so he knows [the problem with contaminated meat in the country]. ‘And the family of his handlers are butchers, their families have butcher shops, and they don’t know [what he’s eating]? Also, he doesn’t insist for anyone [to make sure the meat is safe to eat]?,’ Sanchez told ESPN Deportes

I forget we have diversity here including simple minded people..

Even level playing field, as in fighting Canelo when the drugs are out of his system and tests clean, such as postponing the fight a few months. I see critical thinking is not your strong suit.

Does anyone know how long clenbuterol stays in the system? How long is it detectable after taking? How long does its efficacy work? Since Alvarez has been put on notice could it adversely affect him if he stops using it? Why have the sanctioning bodies not taken a hard stance on it being detected in his system? Morales was suspended for two years. Why is this fight moving forward?

He got caught wanting to cheat. Why should he be allowed to fight and get a slap on the wrist when others get banned for it ?

It's got a very short life, days at most. Boxing sanctioning bodies are a joke when you're talking about their cash cows, they throw out their scruples like there's a fire raging and the alarm bell just rang.

He tested positive for clenbeturol, with values consistent with consuming contaminated meat according to the Lab director. Whether he was trying to cheat or not, we do not know for sure.

Should he get a slap on the wrist? Sure. Should he be suspended from boxing, why not, I would not mind one bit since he did have clenbeturol in his system.

Francisco Vargas tested positive for the same substance, and was allowed to fight Orlando Salido, no fines, no suspension. Also contaminated meat.
