Cooney pulls out of his fight with Spink s in 87 , spoon replaces him .After his 1 round loss to Smith he's seen as vulnerable .
    Who takes it ?

If Tim trains hard, he wins it.

Witherspoon would be the bigger and stronger of the two and may be able to knock Spinks around the ring with his jab and power shots possibly getting a knock out. Spinks though could out hustle Witherspoon to win rounds and may be able to steal a decision.

Don't know.....Spinks didn't try to outmuscle his opponent, he used skill and guile. Witherspoon could stop Spinks, but Spinks could out box Witherspoon.

This is right. If and it's a bit of a if in 87 Tim puts the effort in then he wins.Similar to the first Bowe v holy fight I imagine with Tim over powering spink s for a decision win .
But if he comes in lack lustre then spinks craftily boxes him to out point him ,in a similar style as Holmes 1 .

Spinks could definitely do that to a under trained spoon ,I've no doubts .And Tim wouldn't be able to come back and stop him like he did Bruno either. Spinks would still be there at the end of 15 IMO.

Michael knew his limitations, hence the fighters he fought at heavyweight. If Tim is in the right mindset, he kayoes Michael within 5 rounds, otherwise, Michael wins a decision.

Spinks fought the heavies he fought for the paycheck, minus Tangstead.

True, but he also knew that certain fighters would clean his clock.Tangstead was an embarrassment.

Idk Tyson is the only one to knock him out and he had no issue taking the Holmes fights. I think he would've avoided Cooney if he thought he couldn't handle power. A fight with Witherspoon would probably be pretty similar to one the Holmes fights.

Possibly, but I don't know if Michael could take Tim's right.
