If he had moved up from cruiser in the last year or so ,where does he fit in ??
    Amongst Wilder, AJ, Parker etc
A different times from the late 80s ,so Holy's having to compete with slightly larger heavy s .
Are you confident he's a big name in Amongst today's division ??

he unifies, but not without picking up at least one defeat. It would be a long term campaign for him, yet he wouldnt quit. Holy doesnt know the meaning of that word.

He could unify , wouldn't be as easy as Tyson did it in the 80s ,But he'd have the famous holy field heart helping him .
He'd probably enter in to one or two feuds with a few of the guys and end up having rematch s .How long he'd remain at the top is any ones guess but he'd be there in the division for over a decade probably.
The size of the heavy s nowadays wouldn't deter him in the slightest , he'd see it as a challenge.

Like Joe Frazier said any man over 200 lb is capable of taking any other man out. Holyfield is more than capable of beating any HW today. You have the 205 version or the 215 version it don't matter. Not only did he hang with bigger fighters than himself but he beat them. He would do the same today. This is also my same argument in favor Of Dempsey doing the same but I don't want to change topics. None of the Heavyweights today have proven they can hang with a prime Holy for that matter adleast to me

Hard to say because it probably takes Holyfield at least another 3-4 years to move up from cruiserweight in this era. I wouldn’t expect him to run the table.

Sorry to be negative. But I think he'd be avoided. The top cruiser coming up? The money men wouldn't give him the opportunities.
If he were given them, I think he'd dominate.

A former light-heavyweight with a big name ($$$) and unimpressive punching power (at heavyweight)? I bet they would be lining up to fight him.

A good point, well made. But let's see what happens with Usyk. If he wins the cruiser tournament to bolster his name, and also has (I would guess) low power at heavy, there's a comparison for us. I'm not comparing their styles, obviously.

As long as he tests clean, he'd be moved to a championship level quickly.

But remember Holyfield was 1-4 vs Bowe and Lewis on a fair score card, he had issues with much bigger fighters. He could also be out boxed ( Moorer ). On the other hand, there is no one in Lewis class, or Bowe at his best today.

We need to see more of Joshua to judge, but I'd pick Holy to beat the rest.

Holyfield beats all of them, none of these "heavy weight championship caliber" heavy's today have the skill level to deal with Holyfield of the Bowe fights, and he was slightly beyond his prime in those fights. Bowe and Lewis were light yrs better than the heavy's today, PLUS they were big men.

I think they'd be chomping at the bit to get to him IMO .They'd see him as just a jumped up smaller guy who took to much punishment

Probably fails a drugs test. He'd beat the majority of the top 10 in a string of fights, might drop one or two against AJ, Wilder or Fury

theres no reason to remember that, becaue it wasnt a fact in the first place, its just something that you want to be a fact.

You've merely tried to form a correlation between size of 2 opponents with defeats - a correlation based on 2 points is dire. Holyifeld didnt have size issues - he handled Valuev when he was shot2shyte!

What you should have noticed is the more obvious fact - they were both elite. Holyfield has issues with ELITES. Everyone has issues with elites.
