Most def not a robbery..close but no robbery..got no issues with some1 who thinks Marquez shaded it..it was that close..one thing is for sure..no one will ever mention the other without bringing out memories about the other...true warriors these two..Pacman did more with his career tho'..no shade on JMM..Pac has the far better resume'.

Probably my favorite fight. Great display of footwork and a beautiful mesh of styles. My scorecard always reads a firm 7-5 to JMM but both performed very well. I’ve memorized so many moments from that fight lol

Fact is: Marquez beat him 4 times

No questions. Anyone who can score fights knows this, ffs some people actually think Manny won the 3rd, damnit I think people probably think he won the 4th too.

    They are that insane.

The JMM Manny Pacquiao series is by far the most salt inducing rivalry on this board. Pac won the rivalry. It just is what it is. And the legion of boxing hipsters, JMM fans and Pacquiao haters just cannot stomach it. To this day it still bothers them. Time to let it go boys. Pac won.

My card always reads 7-5 Pac plus the knockdown. Pacquiao is my favorite fighter and I've watched that fight numerous times and scored it numerous times. I've tried to eliminate bias because I like Pac, but every time I score it I have it Pac by 3 points.

Different judges have different philosophy in scoring. For me I put effective aggression at the top. It's by far the most important scoring criteria to me in pro boxing. It outweighs all the other parts combined, not to say clean punching, defense and ring generalship don't matter. They do, it's just a secondary scoring metric to the essential objective of pro boxing which is effective aggression. When you think about it, the idea is to take your fist and ram it into your opponent as hard as you can. I awarded Marquez some rounds due to Pac's ineffective aggression at times and Marquez's clean punches. But more often than not in not in that fight we see Pacquiao controlling the tempo of the fight with his in-and-out movement and superior physicality. Marquez is constantly playing reactor and Pacquiao is taking what's his.

You can't just choose a criteria to prioritize arbitrarily. That's a bias in itself.

    I don't think it's arbitrarily prioritized.

It's not arbitrary in the sense that I just randomly chose to emphasize that one particular criteria. There is a logic behind it. Which fundamentally comes down to this; the point of professional boxing is to take your fist and ram it into your opponent as hard as possible.
