I don't rate Whyte as high as Chagaev, even the 2016 version. That is one thing Browne can cling to to bolster his confidence.

I watched this Gloves Are Off last night.

I can't decided if Whyte looked nervous, a little edgy or Hearn/Sky have asked Whyte to tone it all down and make himself a little more fan/family friendly.

I'm sure I read somewhere or saw a video with something about Whyte needing to calm down now he is with Matchroom and Sky, he needed to clean up his image a little bit.

Because he looked really tame in that, rather quiet, not a lot of eye contact with Browne, compare that to when he fought AJ, they were both right up for it, there was a feeling it could go off any second and let's not forget Browne and Whyte have been very personal over twitter.

So I can't decided if Whyte is flat, nervous or just trying to control himself.

I thought Browne came across very well, honest as usual, said he isn't the best boxer around but can really punch which is a very fair assessment of himself, actually self deprecating.

I like this fight, I'm going with Browne by TKO, recently enough I've seen Chisora seriously hurt Whyte and Helenius hurt Whyte, he can be hit and hurt and Browne can seriously punch.

Browne has to frustrate and annoy Whyte, make him emotional just like he said on the Glove Are Off and if Whyte is bottling this emotion up then I can see losing it at some point and it could well be during the fight.

I posted it in another thread but maybe it’s the psychological thing that whyte has now realised he’s in with the biggest puncher he has faced since aj kmocked him out cold. Because he did come across timid.

I think Whyte looks really really nervous. Can't even hold a stare with Browne. Browne looks calm as a cucumber.

I usually support Brits but i'd like to see Brown ktfo Whyte and I think he will.

Maybe he knows he’s in for a tough night now that he knows Browne has been sparring chisora.

Chisora mentioned how whyte has no power so Browne knows he can go for broke with no worries

Great post, can't argue with that.

To me Whyte seems nervous...real nervous. I do believe that Hearn has told him to clean his act a little but just look at him.

He might be a tough kid from the streets, but nerves can strike anybody! Watching that gloves off episode makes me belive Brown will ko him.

Of course i want our boy to win but since the fight has been announced ive warmed to Browne, seems like a decent geezer.

I think there is some sting in his punches..he just not great at landing them powerful shots...when he does land one though, trust me they feel it.

Why would Eddie tell him to clean up though? Controversy and excitement sells fights. If anything I reckon Hearn would have been disappointed in the show. Imagine if it was explosive, it’s a salesman’s dream.

I think this fight will go one or two ways Whyte by points or Browne by stoppage. One thing for sure, if Browne hits Whyte with even half the amount of clean shots that Chisora did then he will be knocked out.

Amazed by how many picking Browne! Granted Whyte hasn’t looked great in his last few fights but he will have enough to beat Browne on a wide points decision or a late stoppage! Age will be a huge factor, Whyte has done the rounds in his past few fights and will be in great shape, Browne is 38 now and won’t be able to keep pace with the youth of Whyte.

It's a massive risk for Whyte and one which I think will end poorly for him . His mouth has basically made him some decent pay days but apart from getting a decision over Chisora and knocked out by Joshua what has he done to get what in essence should be a world title eliminator?

I understand what you're saying, The bookies have Whyte a solid odds on favourite.

Do you believe Whyte has improved since AJ?

Personally I'm not seeing any real improvements, he is obviously more experienced but I'm watching him against Chisora and Helenius and I'm looking at a fighter that gets hit a lot, isn't a huge puncher and is stamina is questionable.

We also get the same quotes after every fight from Whyte "I'm better than that" but he isn't delivering it.

I'm not digging you out for what you said by the way, I'm just asking a question and you might point out some things I'm just not seeing.

Agreed. He will be nearly 39 come fight night, the inactivity, he’s coming in super heavy. Browne is going to gas. As long as Whyte keeps his basic defensive fundamentals going in the first 6 rounds he can stop Browne in later rounds. Browne has power but he’s also vulnerable.
