Salido resume > Russell Jr resume

Russell may perhaps be more talented but has yet to prove he is a better fighter.

Loma really hurt salido and more then likely would have stopped him

Lomachenko has balls of steel, truly a remarkable human specimen. I bet he could ace a mensa test as well. Heck if he retires he could become a lawyer.

he was still a bit green to be ready for everything the top pros throw at you, or it could be trouble dealing with strong, aggressive pressure fighters. the rigo fight showed hes not green anymore, and a garcia fight would answer the pressure question.

Salido knows it, too. That's why he was never going to grant a rematch- he'd rather be able to hold it over Loma's head forever, even if it meant passing up a career high payday.

Loma was raw and didn't know the ways of professional boxing in his fight against Salido. Today, he would stop the Mexican Menace.

He picked up 5 years worth of pro experience in a single night. The loss isn't near as important as what he gained from that fight.

It's kind of weird how many times this fight gets brought up, it's always the Loma fans bringing it up though, hilarious.

It's been 3-4 years, still cannot let it go.

Then why did Lawrence Cole warn Lipinets just last Saturday for punches that were not nearly as low compared to the ones he let Salido land all night?

What's even weirder is how this revisionist history of Salido "beating up" Loma in a fair fight has entered the boxing parlance and become common place video evidence to the contrary.

Dude no-one actually thinks Salido is better than Loma so just let it go. Loma p4p top 3 after a dozen fights does it sound like people are hung up on the Salido fight. Salido can't carry Lomas jockstrap and anyone who looks at this fight beyond boxrec (even then) knows that.

Possibly because he wanted to have children at some point, and his testicles might not cooperate if they got
    bashed another 80 times.

LOL guys saying the punches were "on the belt". Yes, some were, but there were AT LEAST 15 punches directly
to his protective cup, right on his nuts, WAAAAAAY below the belt or his belly button, and closer to his knee than his belt.

Salido should have received at least two warnings, then had at least two points deducted. I would assume that at that point Salido would either have stopped hitting below the belt or continued and been DQ'd.

I saw the fight live and really could not believe what I was seeing. The number of fouls were beyond belief.

Sheesh....Salido was attempting to prevent Loma from having any offsprings. Lol. I knew he was throwing a lot of low blows but this video really highlighted how foul latent his offense was that night. Easily, Loma could have won by DQ had the ref penalized Orlando appropriately...even if the ref deducted one or two points the fight would have been a UD in Loma’s favor.

Just a note....the belt line was low in this fight so 90% of Salido’s offense was illegal. Fun fight to watch but it’s clear that ref was incompetent
