I gotta go with the more skillful boxer in most cases....so that would be Loma. Even though he’s moving up and will be giving away height, weight and reach....I think he is capable of mitigating the physical advantages with his natural talents and superior skills. Linares will most likely make it a competitive fight but doubt he has the answers to solve the puzzle Loma presents

linares might take a couple of rds, but i see loma having a rather easy time of it. linares is a rhythm fighter, and he looks dazzling when he gets into rhythm, but lomas unorthodox movement will never allow him to get into a groove. just not the style to beat loma.

The guy who thinks 800 picograms of Clenbuterol is consistent with consumption of tainted meat is now droning on about Lomachenkos opposition. Why do i have a feeling you have said this same thing about several of his past opponents as well?

Linares had his hands full with the Cockney Loma and Cockney Loma whilst very skilled isn't fit to tie real Loma's son's shoelaces. And I'm a fan of both Linares and Cockney Loma and think they're both really talented fighters. I like the fight but Loma will win him.

I like Linares, but I'd rather see Linares lose his title to Lomachenko than Mikey. Lomachenko wanted Mikey, but Mikey refused to fight him, so Lomachenko will fight Linares, Linares will be bigger, but Lomachenko is so much more skilled, not to take anything away from Linares who is a good fighter.................Lomachenko by UD or TKO...............

This is a very interesting fight. We all know how good Loma is but he is coming up in weight and fighting a guy with a 9cm reach advantage. The way Linares fights is long, he is technically excellent and has proven size at 135.

Linares will plan to be popping out that jab from round 1 to 12. Loma will be working out ways of staying inside the power range of Linares' straight rights while being careful not to walk into a left hook. Once Loma figures out Linares I don't think Linares has fight changing power, or does he? Loma's handling of the new weight will be important in this regard.

I don't think anyone can call Loma a ducker now, this is a legitimate 135 pounded with silky smooth skills.

I'm calling it for Loma though to once again show what he is capable of and win well. He has fought too many amateur fights not to know how to handle a guy with a reach advantage.

Linares does not have the tools to bother Loma and gets lost in the Matrix.

Loma will win because he's that talented, but Linares is highly skilled and will be dangerous for as long as it goes!

I like this matchup because it poses questions for Loma. A fighter who can go some way to matching his speed, precision, athleticism & flash! Plus naturally a bigger & rangier guy! Let's be real, Linares was being touted as Garcia's defining signature matchup & opponent! This is for a reason! He's [Linares] an excellent boxer & a respected champion worldwide.. & people are still moaning! Scandalous! 12 fights & Linares isn't good enough for them lol haters gunna hate.

    Loma by KO.

Linares chin is below average (I hesitate to call it bad) and he cuts easy. I think once Loma finds his chin, Linares will either a) hit the canvas, maybe get up before being stopped on his feet or b) get cut and have the fight stopped.

I like Linares but he was never an elite fighter. He is more flash than substance IMO. Sure, if you're fighting Oscar Larios you'll look good but it's a whole different story when you face a world-class fighter like Loma. And Linares has lost to guys who are nowhere near that level (like Thompson and Salgado).

This. Linares is a good fighter, but he lacks durability and power and tends to fade badly in the later rounds.
