I think that the fight will happen.

It is becoming the only way forward for both men!

 

Power punchers like wilder have always been the boogeyman, joshua has no head movement and tends to get hit alot, wladamir put him down and almost knocked him out, gassiev who sparred wilder and wladamir said wilder is the harder hitter of the two, so when wilder lands on joshua he gonna hit the floor and might not make the count, I think Anthony doesn't want to fight someone that can hit him harder than wladamir hit him, sluggers will be Anthony's undoing.

 

He'd be stupid not to be and the same vice versa. The very magnitude of the fight will lead to a very cagey start for the first few rounds with Joshua the slight aggressor. It's hard to see where it goes from there though. Either one fighter gets outclassed, or it explodes into how @McGrain described it that one time so beautifully when two super heavyweights above 6'5 go at it, which puts both men in extreme danger. Let's not kid ourselves either, it has the potential to be one of the scrappiest heavyweight title fights ever. These guys have been past the 10th round twice! Wilder has a very awkward style quite close to that of a spoiler/stalker type, which is hard to get behind especially because of Joshua's better fundamentals, combination punching and offensive arsenal, but then again Joshua only has 65 rounds under his belt. And neither fighter has the stamina to fight 12 hard rounds, so expect both to take extended breaks and breathers searching for a second wind if it gets to the championship rounds.

 

I dont think either of them are afraid, they recognize the talent & the power, its just that time is working against Wilder & it is working in Joshua's favor. Its a major money fight but AJ is making tons fighting anyone now.

Timing & build up & this fight will bring major money. I think if Joshua gets past Parker (which I think he will) the only other obstacle for either man is Povetkin & that is still a dangerous fight for both.

Common sense would suggest that a Joshua vs Wilder fight would be a good fight in 2018 before either man gets beaten & then the winner face Povetkin before the Russian turns 40

 

Joshua has nothing to be afraid of, Wilder's right hand comes from left field and that's the only punch he has, while Joshua has many more skills, power in both hands, better defense. Vlad would beat Wilder right now!!!!!!!

 

Terrified, the windmills keep him awake at night, when Wilder throws a windmill and misses the wind from it gives us all a fever.

The constant screaming of "Boooooomb Sqqquuuad" doesn't just frighten AJ it rattles the whole of the UK.

But you can't blame us or ridicule us, after all..

Who wouldn't be terrified of a man who had trouble with and overcame living legends like Stiverne, Szpilka, Molina, Washington and Ortiz.

Who wouldn't be terrified of a man with Wilders technical ability, it's misunderstood, its actually deliberate, it is so unorthodox it is greatness.

Who wouldn't be terrified of a man who can sell around 10k of tickets, Wilder obviously has a huge army of fans who believe he is the chosen one, with that kind of support it obvious he is the man in the division.

Deep down Joshua knows Wilder is worth at least 50%, maybe more, Wilder is owed, after all those defences against quality opposition Wilder is worth more than his best purse of around 2 million.

So you can't just dig out Joshua, the whole of the UK is shaken to its boots.

 

About as afraid as Dustin Nichols was when he climbed in the ring with gym shoes and shorts on, ate all of Wilders shots like bigmacs then knocked Wilder over easily .

Now that's a logical statement and makes sense. The only thing is that Wilder is an illogical fighter. He does the right thing at the right time. The only thing that you can count on Wilder doing is windmilling when he thinks he has you hurt. That's when he is ripe for the knockout.

 

These guys aren't afraid of each other, they are just jockeying for the best deal

 

AJ is shook, hesitant, reluctant, scared, anxious, nervous or whatever word you want to choose about fighting Wilder. he was lying through his teeth with talking points straight from Eddie Hearn about not wanting Wilder to confront him in the ring. He knows he cannot lie and obfuscate while Wilder to his face is keeping it 100% real. AJ is not looking forward to that and is making him look soft.

AJ is also always desperate with telling his fake fans something he can't say outright about the rampant worship of him. He obviously wants to tell them that he is not a god, that he is human who can be beat, has flaws, and doesn't like having to be perfect possibly losing everything he has. Ofcourse this comes across as being soft and it's a little sad as I think about it, though he's being well compensated.

Too bad, he could have 3 of the belts by the end of the month so he better work it out quick about what he does next as he cant hold those belts hostage.

 

Given how Joshua's career has played out, given that he sought a World Title after 16 fights, given that he sought unification with the WBA (Super) in a fight with Wlad only three fights later, given that he's seeking unification with the WBO title only two fights after that, I think he deserves the benefit of the doubt.

Joshua has proven that he wants the big fights, that he's not going to waste years padding his record, and I find it ridiculous that people pretend he's afriad of Wilder or ducking him.

He has done more than Wilder in half the time - that Wilder has finally established himself as one of the two best fighters in the division with his 40th fight after almost a decade as a pro doesn't change the fact that did very little before that and the vast majority of his resume is garbage and he was regarded as a joke for most of his career.

Point being, out of the two of them Joshua has the better record of taking difficult fights against dangerous opponents - he deserves the benefit of the doubt not Wilder.

I know Peter Sims personally and I have it on good authority that prior to the Molina fight, Joshua was prescribed with diazepam to help him deal with anxiety and stress caused by Deontay Wilder.

Make no mistake, Big AJ is absolutely shaken to the core by Wilder.

 

Joshua hasn't had time to be scared. He's been too busy fighting champions and top ten contenders. Wilder just had his first test in 40 fights and almost got KTFO. If anyone should be scared it's Wilder. It's no wonder he wants to cash out ASAP.
