Calzaghe is Welsh/British. His Mum was Welsh, Dad was Italian, Born in London, raised in Wales.

You gonna include Joshua in greatest Irish fighters ever polls too

Every Calzaghe thread you feel the need to post your pure Hate and jealousy. Yet you don't even get any likes for your posts, and I'd imagine many persons have you on ignore. You are wasting your time, Calzaghe is a legend, you are a loser.

Calzaghe legendary status is unquestionable, it takes a lot of discipline and arrogance to retire undefeated. Most fighters comeback to catch a big beatdown for a big payday, Calzaghe slapped everyone and left on top. Whats left is bitter haters who got slapped so hard and couldn't do anything about it, but watch Calzaghe raise his Reddened palm victoriously every time his superiority was questioned.

Always wanted Calzaghe to go after fellow legend Ottke, but sometimes some fights can't be made...as the fall of one of those ultra Egomaniacs would have caused irreversible damage to the moral equilibrium of the Eurasian Plate if not the whole world back then.

I don't like Calzaghe inside or outside the ring, but he gets my vote here.

Marciano is a h2h threat all the way from LHW-HW that's hard to beat...... Calzaghe from SMW-LHW. Marciano edges it for me. He's also 100% Italian so kind of wins by default anyways.

Rocky was 100% Italian which I agree makes him a specimen of superior man. However, Super Joe was 50% Italian AND 50% Welsh, so the gods blessed him with both superior Italian genes and superior British genes, too.

How the **** are people picking Calzaghe, wow. The guy probably falls short of P4P ATGhood and he's being compared to Marciano?

(I would also question the ethnic labels being used here but I'll take the thread on its own terms)

No way. Even if Calzaghe were able to somehow pull it off he's not beating Marciano up like that.

Welsh funny enough often times can look pretty Italian or Mediterranean. They're probably the darkest people of the British isles... Even more so than the so-called Black Irish.

Willie Pep aka Guglielmo Salvatore Papaleo, like Paulie Spadafora and Paulie Malinaggi belongs to the East Sicilian cluster of Slick boxers, must be some unique East Sicilian gene.

Willie Pep Side Piece was Irish, also his alias was Irish Will o' the Wisp
