I feel like the IBO at this point is as respectable as the WBO (and like it or not, they're now a widely accepted, legitimized major org...the erstwhile Big 3 is the Big 4 and that's just the way things are now) used to be 15-20 years ago. For a smaller outfit they're doing a pretty good job. I know the waters are diluted enough already but the way I see it there are 2 really important historical world title belts at stake here (IBF/WBA) and two secondary ones. (at worst, a secondary and very-close-behind tertiary)

In so far as heavyweight world championships are concerned, I'd say:

Top tier - Lineal championship - Can only be won & lost in the ring.

Second tier - WBC & IBF - The best organised & most competent of the sanctioning bodies.

Third tier - WBA & WBO - The WBA have history on their side but are a joke of an outfit. Completely unprincipled.

Fourth tier - IBO, WBA regular, WBC silver, IBF interim.

That's fair, although I'd perhaps be inclined to demote the IBF onto the next tier down alongside the WBA/WBO, just because the WBC has claim on the oldest and richest tradition, in spite of whatever stock they might have lost during José Sulaimán's tenure. Even if you want to demerit them for various blemishes of incompetency and corruption, you can hardly do so without casting the same net on the equally-as-spotty track record of the IBF.

The IBF has always looked after Australian fighters.

That makes them okay by me.

That's 80% of people, not wildly off the odds the bookies are giving him of winning.

Agree with this. I think Parker starts cagey but will be behind on rounds and have to engage at which point AJ's power will be decisive.

Joshua too much power and accuracy. Stoppage in round 7.

I almost slipped an 'excepting the first half of Blood Simple + elements of Miller's Crossing and The Man Who Wasn't There' into that last post.

    Re. Moore, I'm sadly indifferent.

Oh wow. I'd let her literally & figuratively walk all over me. If I was a cargo cult she'd be the entity I threw shipwrecked castaways into the mouth of a volcano for.

I can see a couple of knockdowns happening but Joshua on points is the most likely outcome for me. My second choice is a late Brit stoppage for Joshua. All that said, Parker can catch him cold or wear him out. He needs the KO though, Joshua has the knowledge from the WK fight that the judges will favour him and he can coast to a decision if going for a late KO is too risky.

Who with World Class power has landed flush numerous times on Parkers chin? Parkers chin is very unknown. Wouldn't be surprised if he's put over very early.

If his chin holds up then Joshua eases to a points win.

Yeah pretty much this. I think Parker will be fairly negative, but not as negative as Hughie Fury was with him - he'll try and use movement to keep out of range and just bank bits and pieces throughout the fight (especially to the body) to try and make AJ have to work and tire him down and then try and come at him more in the later rounds.

AJ will win most rounds and Parker will try and come in late, but the risk of a British stoppage - or legit one, is very real when being in against AJ's star power as well as actual power for that long
