I thought the Welsh were like the nasty Brits, or redheaded step children of the Brits if you will.

Granted a Welshman sits below an Englishman on the pecking order just as a Scotsman and a Irishman does. That's a given. However, the same can be said of men of every other nationality in the world so there's no shame in that. I personally have no problem with either the Welsh, the Scots or the Irish as they make excellent butlers and cannon fodder (J/K)

One of my favourite bands are Welsh people

Sort of. Northern Italy has a lot of Germanic blood and the guys there are often blonde or red haired. But in general you are correct.

Super Joe vs the monocled one

    Carl Froch

    BEST PUNCHER

Robin Reid: He hurt me the most with a single shot. I can’t say George Groves because he caught me square on in the first fight, when I left my feet behind me. That was a heavy knockdown made worse by my balance being off. Also, after his fast start dwindled, I came
on strong, so I can’t say Groves. I remember Reid hitting me and saying, ‘F—ing hell, that hurt.’ Jermain Taylor had me down, but that was more of a sharp shot. Robin Reid could really bang, and in my opinion he deserved the win over Joe Calzaghe in their fight. That said, Calzaghe had to be tough to walk through the right hands he took from Reid.

    Richie Woodhall

    BEST CHIN

Calzaghe: He was a tough geezer. I wasn’t a devastating puncher; I was more of a worker, and that showed against Calzaghe. I hit him many times but nothing affected him

    Mikkel Kessler

Joe was also awkward and effective. And he could take a punch. I would say I hit Joe with some of my hardest shots ever and he took them. Carl is more a hard hitter but he’s slow. But Carl doesn’t respect anything. Even if you hit him really hard he will still come forward.

 Chase? That implies I would be running from them. An Englishman never backs down from a fight. I'd make them put those pitchforks to good use they could use them to dig their own graves lol

 I'm all but certain those were probably Americans masquerading as Englishmen in a feeble attempt to try and make us look unrefined. Did they have bad teeth? That's usually a dead giveaway it's not a real Englishman

    Genetically...

Scots in general obviously cluster with Northmen, England a good mix, Wales retain [Welsh samples] might include some more recent Mediterranean Welsh, so maybe more detail on that. Roman DNA [assumed mixed Mediterranean Romans] are present in Wales at a higher percentage than Scotland.

Immigration and Settlement in many times layers up in the same direction, so it could also be many of those people are just Neolithic migrants who arrived there earlier. The last Norman [despite the Latin Tongue]-Danish [Angles-Saxon-Jutes] Northmen pushes all came from the East to the West, so an older British composite might have survived in Wales. While the Northmen might have been fewer in size, there is no reason to assume they were not able to create a big population movement in the process of establishing themselves.

The Roman heritage in Britain is largely played down, because at one point the British Elites galvanized the British peasantry into emotional De-Latinization, which made Britain what it is today.

Calzaghe is definitely an ATG, not sure if he can be ranked higher than fellow ATG Andre Ward.

Will not mind watching them fight at any age, so we can answer this once and for all

When I think of a real Englishman, why do I still think of Di ck Van Dyke? Are you sure he wasn’t a real Englishman masquerading as an American with a Dutch name? :sisi1
