I actually hope this isn't just posturing as a defamation case might well be the end of both drug addled Oscar and drugs cheat Canelo's bull****.

Golovkin has a second defence that it was his opinion, and given the facts in the case I'd say he has very reasonable grounds for that opinion.

 

what do you want? Cancel the fight? There was this tainted beef issue, and there seems to be some support that it could have come from that. And he is clear from it now. So either they cancel the fight or they fight. It is a big fight in a time when we don't have many big fights around. Mikey Garcia looks good, but he has really fought mediocre opponents and won 4 titles in 4 divisions in a very weak era. Which insults guys like Hearns,Duran and Whitaker who won titles legit in long careers. The heavyweights are heating up. but Wilder and Joshua really are inexperienced guys and not really proved professionals like Holmes or Lewis were. Lomo is good, but who will he fight near his weight. Kovalev is damaged goods, and has weaknesses which were exploited by Ward... So I don't think he is the leader at 175 really.. So this fight with Canelo and GGG is important.

The BJS fight, at this point, is a tougher fight stylistically and will pay A LOT less. Why bother?

Golovkin may have to put up but he really doesnt need to shut up. If the shoe was on the other foot wed be hearing plenty about it, Oscar would be demanding financial penalties on the split and god knows what else. Canelo is a cheat and just cuz he is going to get away with it doesnt mean he isnt a cheat

Yes if a fighter fails a drug test you pull out because he's cheating and gained an unfair advantage and then you sue him lost wages.
