Watch the genius at work as he defends his junior welter title against the dangerous Adolf Pruitt.

Genius my ass. Pruitt got robbed. How do throw more, land more, and press the entire fight and lose? Get the full fight and tell me he lost to this "genius."

Locche against the ropes looks exactly like Mayweather against the ropes.

What level of controversial do you consider this fight, klompton? Was it close, competitive, or a straight up robbery? I believe I've seen you mention that Locche was the beneficiary of preferential treatment routinely on the cards because he was always home.

    Can you elaborate a bit?

Let me preface this by saying I started out the same way, believing Locche looked phenomenal. I had seen all the readily available stuff on him here in the states and as a fan of Benitez I thought Locche was beautiful. Then I started acquiring more and more of his stuff and Ive got to say I went from being one of his biggest supporters to one of his biggest detractors. The guy was nothing but a spoiler and was getting points in Argentina for just showing up. He was immensely popular down there and they seemed to revel in him making other fighters look bad. Meanwhile, while hes ducking, dodging, and slipping (which hes great at) hes not doing anything offensively. Im not even talking about doing the bare minimum to stay ahead on points, I mean hes not fighting. Thats b.s. imo. If a guy like Pruitt is all over, throwing WAY more, landing more, landing harder, and making the fight I dont care if he misses more than he lands, he still won. That was how it went with several of those fights of Locches. Hed clown and spoil and his fans would lap it up meanwhile the other guy may be looking bad but hes still working. Throwing, missing most but landing more than Locche with badder intentions, harder and pressing the fight. If you dont get taken in by Locches magic show you see a guy whose there to be a shoman but not to fight and certainly not to win a fight. Yeah, I think Pruitt won clearly. I think Ortiz won clearly. Ill go one further and say I think Cervantes won their first fight despite what the Ring writeup said. There were even lesser fights against guys youve probably never heard of where Locche did nothing but play tag and still won. Nevermind that the officiating in Argentina at this time is some of the most biased youll ever see. Just my 2 cents.

How bad was it? What would a good comparison be, for example?
