If you've been paying attention I have been asking how he got caught cheating twice. I want to know, like anyone, whether it was due to contaminated meat or not. G has plenty to prove, he didn't win the first fight as much as you want to believe he did. Canelo outboxed Golovkin and landed the better punches, more body shots, rocked G on several occasions. It was a great fight, both fighters had their moments, neither guy really won it convincingly, a rematch is definitely needed. And if you want your fighter to pull out, that's a cowardly act. I don't think G is that kind of a fighter though who would back down from a fight.

    absolute excellent retort
I mean that .0000002 micrograms of that meldonium was enough to cancel a huge fight in Russia

No, I have not been following your every post on how you feel about this. The contaminated meat excuse is BS and you should know this. Why would the commission suspend other fighters for a single violation and not Alvarez?

Well, that fight was postponed, wasn't it. Wilder didn't pull out, now did he?

"I'm very disappointed that due to Povetkin's failed drug test the fight is not going to happen on May 21 in Moscow," Wilder said in a statement. "I had worked very hard to prepare myself for this important title defense, spending the last two weeks training in England to get accustomed to fighting in Europe. I wanted to give the fans a great show, but we understand the WBC's position that the fight occur on an even playing field.

"This is a huge disappointment and a setback to my goals in boxing. I want to be an active heavyweight champion and it is still my goal to collect all the belts and become the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world."

So as you can see Wilder was very disappointed that the fight was postponed by the WBC. He did not "flee" Russia or pull out like you want Golovkin to do.

The loser in all of this is boxing..

Really if Clemeno was someone not as big a cash cow he would be suspended for 6 months or so given his failed test and this fight would be delayed..

Like him or hate him this really just stinks and for the few fans trying to justify his failed tests (while crucifying other fighter for failed tests) just shows the poor quality of humans who follow boxing..

We wonder why boxing is not more popular....

Well it's not as if every situation is the same, with Povetkin he admitted he took meldonium before the ban for it went into affect. I'm reading that the ban went into affect Jan 1st, it was still in his system months later in April when he was tested. Although he said he stopped taking it after it was banned, they may not have believed him. I'm guessing the experts determined it should have been out of his system by then. ?? The situation with Canelo is quite different, you're calling the contaminated meat "excuse" BS without having any idea what happened.

I'm trying to stay neutral rather than jumping to conclusions and completely dismissing the possibility of eating contaminated meat. Saying that possibility is BS without knowing screams bias and agenda. I'm just waiting to see the result of the investgation.
