No they haven't, Zuffa Boxing have offered him a contract apparently, a boxing promotion company owned by Dana White. Not the same as UFC ie. he wouldnt be taking part in mixed martial arts fights. Only Boxing still. But he agreed a new deal with Matchroom as far as Im aware?

Yet some people question the worth of Anthony Joshua and wonder why he isn't in the position to start going 50/50 with opponents on purse splits.

This would be a ten fight deal with Joshua fighting for double or more money per fight than he's on now. If it is a serious offer then Joshua would be wise to accept or at least play this offer against the Matchroom proposed deal.

I don't think its true. I don't see how UFC could even justify it considering they don't have the guarantee of US PPV money.

UFC's MMA business needs new PPV stars so that kind of outlay on a boxer who isn't big in the US doesn't seem logical to me.

Again its not a UFC contract its Zuffa Boxing that has offered, its a boxing contract NOT a UFC - MMA contract.

This supposed offer doesn’t make any sense.

Hearn & Joshua have both said they'd be interested in talking to Dana White, but I doubt White will want just a bit-part role

Agree but its still not UFC offering him it, they are not its theior boxing label that is.

Ie that like if the same guy owns the Knicks and the Giants and offers a football player a deal you wouldnt say that the Knicks are looking to sign him, the Giants are if you get what I mean.

Also if Zuffa boxing fold / not pay out or something like that then UFC will not be held liable to pay the remainder of the contract

Yeah, and Guangzhou Evergrande have offered him £2m per week to play center-forward for them.

I am failing to see how this deal would make any sense. That's a hell of a lot of money for soneone who is not a PPV star on the states yet.

I guess though if you are gonna launch a new boxing promotion, having Joshua as the face is the guy you want right now
