It is time for a truly independent organization to step forward and sanction boxing matches. The problem, of course, is boxing is such a corrupt sport at the professional levels that everyone is afraid to insert themselves into the equation because if they do they make themselves a target. It is threatening the boxing mafia's extortion. We all know from judges decisions how corrupt boxing is. One need look no further than Byrd in the first GGG-Canelo bout. The only reason that woman could ever be assigned to another boxing match is that she is doing what she is told. This garbage has got to stop. I hate involving the government in anything but something needs to be done. We are just letting the fox guard the henhouse.

What caused those other athletes to be banned wasn't the level of clenbuterol they had, but rather the circumstances surrounding the positive test. With Contador, after a multi-year investigation, they determined it was not from contaminated meat but from a supplement.

I understand the argument that Canelo's sample had a much higher level of clenbuterol than the levels of those who got banned. I get that, and I understand why that is a red flag for you guys, however that fact doesn't determine if the athlete gets suspended or not.

And even though the 600-800 picograms Canelo tested for is much higher than the levels of those other athletes, some of who got banned, that still appears to be within the threshold of trace amounts and consistent with contaminated meat.

He may have been tested the day after he eat a piece of contaminted meat, in which case the sample would have a much higher level than those other athletes who were in a competition and took only a supplement.

What I'm getting at is that it isn't the level of the test that is the crucial element to whether an athelete gets suspended for clenbuterol. That said, I understand your fixation on how much higher Canelo's level was than those other athletes. I'm not ignoring that at all, I'm just pointing out that the level of the sample doesn't appear to be the determining factor as to why some of those athletes got suspended.

I didn't direct that part of it at you specifically, I was just responding to your point. I was directing that at the posters who have brought up how much higher Canelo's level was than those other athletes who were suspended, and those who have argued that 600-800 is beyond that of being consistent with meat contamination. More on this in a moment . . .

I am 53 and I don't get how he still has energy. If I were him I would be retired on the beach in Hawaii drinking and enjoying the sun.
