Sometimes (a good amount of the time) I just like turning my brain off and watching really big guys punch each other really hard. It's magic, it's the heavyweight division, that's all that really needs to be said. Enjoy!

I've always disliked that Coetzer's three most viewed fights on youtube are, I believe, the three fight losing skid that constitutes the end of his career... He was definitely a dangerous and capable heavyweight with a damn good punch, and really accumulated a pretty decent resume throughout his career. It's a shame how unbalanced the perception of many fighters is simply because of what fights of theirs are the most easily accessible...

I reiterate my previous post, more footage of that big, full, beautiful mustache winning fights is a win win.

I find it weird that people describe Coetzer as some sort of big puncher. He certainly was not considered that when he came along. In fact, he was usually described as a bit feather-fisted.

That said, he had endless balls, a stout set of whiskers and was always very fit.

Obviously the TV Announcer doesn't run a "Positive Motivation for the Underdog" Consulting Seminar as a partime job. Lol.

Hitz legitimately threw some shots with spite, and responded bravely for the short period this one was allowed to last. He was just completely outgunned and outclassed. He gave it an honest go and that's really all you can ask any fighter, most of all a low end trial horse sort of fighter.

I was amazed that he lost to a 44 year old Foreman. Nice post BTW

    Thanks, he grant. :)

If you were there to be hit, old Foreman could still run through you like a warm knife through butter, **** poor work rate and everything. He was that kind of a fighter.

Hint: He wasn't that good. His best assets were his durability and fitness. He didn't hit hard and wasn't elusive.

Hitz.....great for a boxer. Dude looked like Bobby Czyz.

Coetzer got robbed on national tv against "Mr" Snipes.

Agreed Pierre was a solid fighter. Losing to Bruno, Bowe, and Foreman isn't anything to be ashamed of. Bowe had to cheap shot him by punching him in the junk to stop him. Bruno fought him dirty, and Foreman just stopped him. All on his feet I might add.

Nothing to be ashamed of, especially seeing he was outside of his own prime by that time.

The Bowe fight, along with every other bull**** antic and stunt he pulled, should have been a black eye for the heavyweight boxing division but seemingly nobody cared and businsss went about as usual. You should not be able to foul your opponent out of the ring, especially to claim a stoppage win. Absolute idiocy.

How about GerrieCoetzee. Those white South Africans with their Dutch names and massive moustaches all look the same to me.
