Sky inviting Wilder to be ringside as a pundit, the furore about whether he'll be allowed into the ring to challenge Joshua afterwards, Joshua himself talking Wilder and Fury the last couple of weeks, our media going mad about the offers AJ is getting from around the world to sign with another promoter, as though Parker is a maori version of Charles Martin there to be squashed. Parker is a fast handed, tough man who has never been on his arse. The way he's been overlooked will have me cheering him on on Saturday night.
People aren’t disrespecting him, they’re just being realistic. Parker has about a 10-15% chance of winning IMO
Be interesting if he's still standing after 8 though! You never know with these Maoris, probably the physically toughest people on the planet.
I dont think so. On paper hes the weakest of the champions - hasn't fought anyone of real quality and has looked poor in his last few fights. Most people are along the lines of he has a small chance to win and will probably have his moments. I haven't heard anyone calling him anything overly derogatory
A little bit but maybe just moreso ppl are excited to see him in wilder or fury as more well known . I hope Parker does well wouod love see him win but don't think will think get stopped late on. I didn't used mind Joshua but it's non stop bum licking and aj this or that lift off or aj even in white brown pressed Adam smith the build up for the big one next week. Ano he's cash cow but bias and ass licking unreal man would love see Hearn smith face if Parker beats him be worth ppv money alone
Joshua is favourite to win, he is powerful with solid fundamentals. He’s learnt tons from that Klitschko fight in taking his time and not blowing the tank when an opportunity arises...I think this is a different AJ to the one prior to Klitschko who was blowing everyone away. He was very patient and measured with Takam. Over excitability nearly cost him against Klitschko and he’s learned from it. Parker is his hardest fight. He’s not 41 year old or ring rusty. He’s young, fresh with tons of belief and he knows he can do 12 rounders no problems at all. He’s beaten a few handy fighters...my only fault with him is that he stays in the pocket too long after doing some good work, and gets caught with the left more than he should. Can’t wait.
Come on pal be realistic, if Parker wins it by KO. Absolutely no chance does Parker win on points, for two reasons: 1. AJ is just better, no chance can Parker win 7 rounds vs him! 2. Even if Parker does win a round, unless he knocks AJ down he won’t get the nod from the judges, being realistic.
That Klitschko who faced AJ absolutely destroys Parker. So I can’t agree this is AJ’s hardest fight. Parker looks like a slow lumbering pudding in all his fights so I don’t know where this speed has came from? He’s not heavy handed. He’s never been in with a puncher to test his chin. He’s never been in with anyone as fast as AJ - who’s physique makes him appear slower than he is but he’s explosive. AJ is far from invincible but I don’t think Parker has the tools to trouble him at all.
@kevinreid001 Possibly late stoppage mate but part of me thinks this might go 12. My money is on AJ though.
