Why would he fight Povetkin in Russia?

Apparently Povetkin's team offered Wilder $10 million.

Could they offer Joshua $30 million+? I'm not sure.

Joshua v Miller would actually be beneficial to Wilder, bringing in more US fans to the potential Joshua/Wilder fight....but Wilder fans will argue against this fight for some reason.

Personally, I'm hoping for a summer fight of Wilder Whyte and AJ Miller, to lead up to a fall or winter AJ Wilder Vegas fight. But I don't fully trust that to happen.

    Why Vegas?

Such a dull and boring atmosphere.

Yeah Joshua-Miller, it'd be in England though. There's no money for that fight in America

    Yep.

Hopefully a few miller fans would watch though and also watch Joshua v Wilder.

    Early 2019 I guess? Maybe late 2018?

    Hearn/AJ will force Whyte/Wilder first.

AJ really wants the Whyte rematch for reasons beyond me.

Hearn of course realizes that's stupid, but it will be resolved if Whyte loses or becomes a title holder.

Seems like Wilder really opposes being strong armed into fighting Whyte by AJ/Hearn, so maybe that might disrupt the schedule a bit. But with Whyte now being the mandatory, Wilder won't have a choice.

I assume AJ will fight Miller in the interim.

EDIT: I wrote this before fully reading the original post. So basically agree completely.

Joshua-Wilder in London could marinate a lil longer.

You really think Joshua is going to try and Unify the division in 2018 are you mad???

Unifying early doesn't make sense for Joshua if he wants to continue to fight for 5/6 years +.

They'd be no motivation to carry on after Wilder and Fury imo, even if he wins both.

Yeah. My wife is even looking forward to it to build a vacation around. I know UK is more likely, but I'm really hoping a Vegas fight comes off.

I've been trying to say that exact same thing.

It Benefits Joshua tremendously in many ways they will let the fight marinate. What's the rush in their minds. Fall 2019 if we're lucky

    And imo Wilder cannot complain.

Wilder has been a pro for as long as Joshua has been boxing. He's had so much time to become the top man in the division but he hasn't. Whether that is his fault, his teams or a combination of the two, it's a considerable problem he has to face.....the fight with Joshua will not be on his terms.

He can't refuse to fight Wlad after 33 fights because he 'isn't ready' but then demand Joshua, who's had just 21 fights, because now Wilder is the more experienced of the two. (Despite having a weaker resume imo).
