Eddie Hearn wants to make Whyte vs Wilder more than he does AJ vs Wilder. Why. He's even said numerous times that he thinks Whyte would BEAT Wilder. So if he thinks that why would he want to put a wilder AJ fight at high risk by getting Whyte to beat him. He wants Whyte to take out wilder so that Wilder doesn't KO his goldenboy. Also Wilder made Eddie an offer, put a guarantee that I'll fight AJ straight after and I'll fight Whyte, Eddie didn't want to do this. Why. Scared. Eddie mate, ur scared stiff of wilder. That's why he also don't want him to jump in the ring. Why would a promoter not want Wilder to jump in the ring after the fight next week when it will only add to the fight and create even more publicity. Scared stiff.
If he genuinely thought Wilder was that bad that he gets beaten by Whyte who is an AJ left over, then he would be making the fight with Wilder as its the biggest fight out there and easy money. Surely you take the highest reward, lowest risk fights out there... But erm, we know Whyte is being thrown in front of Wilder because Hearn wants a nice big pay day first against Tyson Fury and then the Wilder fight (perhaps). Even if AJ loses to Fury there is no risk to AJs health because Fury will just look to box and move and wont hurt AJ at all. If AJ fights and loses to Wilder first then that impacts on what he could make from Tyson Fury and others with no belts. Hearn wants 2 guaranteed mega fights, and he knows Wilder first is the wrong way to go to maximise the revenue from those 2 mega fights.
Why would he want Wilder Joshua now and miss out on the Whyte - Wilder pay day too. It’s not rocket science! 2 big fights for Hearn (and Wilder) are better than one!
The big fight is Tyson Fury vs AJ and thats why he is throwing Whyte out there as a pawn, so he can make that first. He wants to get Tyson Fury early in his comeback after all.
All you morons claiming Joshua/Hearn are scared of or ducking Wilder are going to look ****ing stupid when that fight gets made. Whyte is just a bargaining chip at this point. Hearn knows that if Wilder doesn’t play ball in negotations for a Joshua fight, he can just force the mandatory and Wilder will have to fight Whyte, possibly in the UK. Hearn holds all the cards. Wilder has **** all leverage and very few options at this point.
He wants Whyte/Wilder because Whyte vs AJ as an all British unification makes more money than Wilder vs AJ especially considering how successful their first fight was. Whyte vs AJ for the British title when both were relative novices was bigger than anything the Bronze donkey has ever done
I’m not sure it does though. Wilder AJ has world wide mega appeal. AJ Whyte only has British appeal really.
Is Whyte v Wilder a really big fight? Wilder isn't exactly drawing in the fans outside of 'bama and I never even considered Whyte a top draw in the UK. I understand the pay day scenario but I wouldn't consider Whyte a big draw.
It would sell out the o2 and it would be a PPV here in the U.K. I think Wilder as a stand alone event would sell more tickets in London than he does in NYC. Never mind alongside a hometown newly found favourite riding the crest of a big knockout wave.
The only reason Wilder/AJ has world wide appeal is because it’s for the undisputed title. If you insert anyone in Wilders place as WBC champ it’ll have the same appeal world wide and twice the appeal over here. Plus AJ and Whyte have real needle between them, Wilder is just a loudmouth cartoon character with awful rhymes. All of this of course is presuming Parker doesn’t shock the world
I agree. Wilder could do with getting his arse over here, in retrospect i think you have got a very good point. I personally think Whyte gets KTFO very early against Wilder.
Most do! I’m not championing Whyte to beat him by any means but he’s earned his shot, Wilder gets a career high payday and there’s definitely a way in to coercing the AJ fight next if he takes it voluntarily.
Hmm, this is a little bit interesting. It seems like Eddie Hearn is almost absolutely sure that Wilder will beat Whyte.
