Pretty ****ing straight forward isn't it. If people wanted to tie Tyson up he was lost until separated. It's a glaring problem for him
No , guys just clung onto him more because of how afraid they were . Nobody he faced in the 80's had a modicum of success against him by clinching. None. If you disagree then give me some names?
I remember a scene in the corner where Tyson tells Rooney "He's holding me." Not sure if that was the fight. Rooney's response was for the record books of a no-man. Not a yes-man in the corner. Rooney; "What do you mean he's holding you? Don't give me that. I want you bent at the knees, backed by solid jab...and make him stop holding you." I know we're supposed to rate the whole career, but I tend to see Tyson pre-prison (top 10) Tyson post-prison doesn't make the cut.
This. Sam Peter, who isn't half the fighter Tyson is was ragdolling a prime Wlad. I see a prime Tyson breaking Wlad and stopping him early.
In fact, to elaborate: This content is protected Notice: 4:05: They're "inside" and Tyson does nothing. 4:30: Thomas ties Tyson up easily 5:00: Thomas ties Tyson up easily 5:15: Thomas triple jabs Tyson and ties him up easily 5:25: Thomas double jabs Tyson and ties him up easily Need I really toss in some Fransie Botha footage where he tied Tyson up ad lib and where Tyson got so frustrated, being unable to do anything that he tried to break Botha's arm? Papillon is 100% right: Tyson was NOT an inside fighter at all, and dead easy to tie up. If this looks familiar it's because I posted it on the Wlad / Tyson thread already. But some Dumbos never learn
How’d that fight end up? I stopped watching after 5:30. I’m assuming Thomas must’ve kept tying Mike up as Pinklon went on to win a decision, right?
