Did they issue releases to Alexander Povetkin and Tyson Fury to tell them to stay away from the ring after the fight, too?

Or was Wilder the only one singled out?

Yeah, this is kinda how I see it. I'm not sure going would do as much do build the AJ fight as it would be a trap to agree to the Whyte fight.

Anyway, on the overarching argument going on between the two poster sides, it's interesting to follow, because I think both sides have good points. That probably means finalizing this fight might be more trouble than we'd like; both sides have a defensible position and may dig into their positions until something breaks.

Maybe Wilder continues to gain credibility and viewership cache, AJ runs low on options, has to shed a belt that Wilder picks up, and then has to settle for 50/50 (or even losesbefore he can face Wilder). Or maybe AJ can thread the needle for years, keeps his belts, fights less desirable fights overseas, and fits in more desirable ones locally, and Wilder loses in the meantime.

I'm starting to think it will be summer of 19 at the earliest before we see this fight.

AJ had Molina to get through, but that didn't stop Hearn from setting up the Klitschko fight. It's Joshua's job to focus on Parker, it's Eddie's job to eye up what's next on the assumption that his man rolls through Kiwi Joe.

Unnecessarily trying to force Wilder to go through Whyte is a tactical bid to bring him to heel and take the fizz out of him, knowing that the Alabama man's spontaneity and spark is a fundamental component of what makes him dangerous. Making him servile and thus gaining a psychological edge for AJ is all this is about.

Joshua-Wilder should be next. No excuses. Period.

 

I bet it really burns his ass that fellow American and high profile promoter looking to get into boxing Dana White apparently offered Joshua $500 million to sign him from Hearn. Haven't heard what he offered American undefeated can crusher champion Wilder yet

It's time fans put pressure on Hearn to consistently deliver real product by collectively demanding that he do his level best to make the Joshua-Wilder fight next, instead of kissing his butt and defending his BS.

Nobody cares about seeing Wilder spark Whyte. Let that guy give Dereck Chisora a rematch.
