Canelo popped for Clenbuterol

Hes probably on a lot lot less than others. Hes stayed at the same weight/muscle size for quite a while now. Probably dabbled in the past.

 

I guess that it's possible, but GGG's been very consistent with his weight throughout his career. He's also been tested a bunch and he wanted to ideally fight 4 times a year which is problematic if you're cycling peds. Finally: he came in looking somewhat soft at his last camp which would be the opposite of what you'd expect a roider to look like.

 

Turns out that its the complete opposite. Canelos levels were really high.
And it wouldn't be the first mega fight Las Vegas turns down.

Canelo is a doper. But all this is just window dressing cos he'll just get a pathetic tap on the wrist!

 

Golovkin is tested all year around and randomly so its stupid to try and cycle as previous cycles can be detected in blood and urine samples.

Clenelo on the other hand got his maths wrong...

 

Oh, I forgot, if you're on PED's, it's impossible to test clean. Oh, I also forgot that PED's are only used to build muscle and lose fat. PED's are ONLY about weight and nothing else, and everyone who tests can find if you're using. That's science.

 

The reason muscle gain is the most common form of PED usage is for a simple reason. Weight cutting in boxing means the more muscle you have, the lighter you can get from water/glycogen depletion thus meaning you can have a 10lb weight advantage easily. Look how much Canelo/Jacobs all "hydrate" to. The lower the weight class, the size advantage becomes soo more apparent. Size does matter in boxing.

But yes i do agree with your point that alot of PED's can be used to help with underlying stamina issues.

 

If it's found to be within the ranges for meat contamination, which I believe is under 1, and Golden Boy can provide proof of the contaminated reason then I don't see what the massive issue is.

This whole thing has been a mess from start to finish. NSAC will have sat on this information for more than 6 weeks from the time of the failed test. And more than 2 weeks since Canelo was suspended. During this time, people (myself included) have been allowed to purchase tickets, book hotel rooms and flights etc as there was every indication from most reputable sources this fight would go ahead as planned. If they're basing their decision on factual evidence, then what different does the meeting with Canelo to testify on April 10th achieve, if as already reported by some, their intention is to cancel the event?

There's a precedence (with Morales and Vargas) with allowing fights to continue, so as long as they can prove this was from contaminated meat I really don't see why NSAC are being such ****s about it.

1. As far as I understand Clenelo's test levels are about two times higher than of average "Mexican meat eaters" in the past;
2. It doesn't seem at all that GB is able or willing to provide those proofs.
