Yeah, I think the key point is that the outcome was only going one way anyway so the situation isn't controversial in that sense. I do see your point, it's just different to mine. Enjoy the fight this weekend
I think Joshua stops him in the late rounds, 10-12. Really wouldn't be suprised if he won on points still. Either way i cant wait for this weekend. First ever stadium fight im seeing live. WAR!!!!!!
I want Parker to win, but can't see him getting a decision and I can't see him having the punch to stop Joshua. A slightly controversial MD/UD to Joshua.
That first bit about the research I have no idea why that came up but yeah I’m gonna be up to my eye balls with adrenaline when that bell rings it’s such an exciting fight and I can’t wait ! Enjoy the bout too mate.
Parker needs a fast start to give himself a platform. Get past the jab and work use his hand speed and sit down on the punches as and when he can. Problem is the size, reach and power advantages. Parker isn't slick he got hit with plenty of right hands V Ruiz and if he repeats that then he gets taken out. He looks like can hold a dig but Joshua can hit. He's becoming a methodical puncher as well. Landing accurate thudding shots, while not taking much in return. If Parker sits on the outside he looses a UD, if he tries to get inside and doesn't perform he gets stopped. If he fights the perfect fight, gets in and out throws shots to head and body and the elbow surgery performs miracles (When has anyone ever been better after surgery?). He has a chance Joshua needs to keep center ring pump the jab - box like Wlad would do it and cut the ring off. Throw nice tight combinations and keep Parker at a range. Make him pay when he tries to be aggressive and make the most of his physical attributes Joshua KO 6-8.
Get your money on Joshua round 11, there was a goat on sky sports news earlier and he predicted it. Nailed on.
I don’t know if i’m just looking for something that’s not there, but watching that ‘Gloves are off’, AJ looks like he’s feeling the pressure. I don’t mean from Parker or his team, but from the expectation & resulting fear of losing. He’s not saying ‘I won’t lose’, he’s saying ‘I can’t afford to lose, too many people depend on me’. I’m not saying he’s going to lose because of this, but I think for some reason the expectation is even greater than before the Klitschko fight. AJ knows his boxing history. He often talks of watching the former greats. He knows losing is an inevitable part of the life journey. I honestly think he’s waiting for it, and recognises his own vulnerability. Not necessarily in this fight, but it’s coming. I’ll just add, when he does suffer that first loss, he will be more dangerous than ever after that cos that pressure will be lifted.
No, you're right. He's definitely become more aware of the pressure. I noticed the same thing. His picture is everywhere nowadays. He's almost the new David Beckham. If he loses badly, that's a lot of billboards to remind everyone who they saw getting sparked out the other night.
Good points actually. Weird one because I do agree that the ref called it off as a bit of a just incase anything happens to Joshua cause as you say takam was probably having his best of pretty limited success. I m not sure it was good refereeing that led to the decision. But for me it was a good refereeing decision regardless of where the decision came from. I do actually kind of agree with you to an extent tho. Stoppages tho I,d rather see too early that too late everytime. As in Blackwell I would have called a good bit sooner. I think that's the one,s too look out for the continual hits too the head round after round. Get them called sooner. But let a man fight his way out of trouble if they do get caught. That's just my own preference tho.
Parker by mid round stoppage. AJ is slow and Hittable and its only a matter of time before he's on his ass again. I think the kiwi will do it. He looked bad against hughie but everyone does he's an awkward bugger. I see him getting in close and landing some big hooks.
If you honestly believe that then put your money where ya mouth is! Prices would be ridiculous for a Parker KO in the mid rounds!
As soon as the bell rings I wanna see Parker charge at Joshua, get him to the ropes, ripping those body shots. If parker puts him under proper pressure Joshua will lose control. The more likely scenario is that Parker will understandably feel like a rabbit in the headlights in front of a stadium full of AJ supporters and fight to survive like Breazeale.
