Yeah, but he wasn't all that gassed when he got KO'd cold. There's nothing egregious about suggesting that, maybe, just maybe a guy having his head operated on a few months before a boxing match, may have had something to do with his punch resistance not being up to par.
Yeah it was minor, but it still probably isn't a good idea to be repeatedly hit in the head that soon afterward, because, you know, its kind of not a GOOD IDEA to be hit in the head in general.
I was a teenager at the time, but I remember thinking Lucian Bute looked unbeatable Enzo Macrinelli too. I obviously have a thing for big punchers.
M.Jones I understood why many picked him- he's likeable. I doubted he'd be around for long along with Austin Trout. Chad Dawson...uhh. He did put on a clinic against Adamak. But his first loss, I realize wasn't a fluke. He had a chink in his armour Changing trainers over and over and from bad chad to awesome chad.....I knew it was downhill from there.
I don't know if Canada hyped Bute, but he sure did have a nice bodyshot. Save from Andrade and Cobra'd by the Cobra...downhill from there.
I remember seeing a knockout reel on the television before one of his bouts, and thinking he looked deadly. I DKSAB now, but I even more DKSAB back then, and I was easily impressed. A classic case of failing after stepping up. Oh, and before I'd ever seen the A Team, I remember thinking that Mr T was meant to be unbeatable, based on his image and reputation. Then I watched the very first episode, and he got monstered. I didn't watch any more A Team after that.
Gary Russell Jr: I was sure he would go on to be a future P4P king post Manny and FMJ but booooy was I wrong! What a wasted talent
Let’s see. What fighters have I hyped... Dubois Tyson Fury Wilder Mladen Miljas Hrgovic Teslenko You could say Fury has failed, but he kind of did live up to the hype. Just for too briefly. I guess Teslenko. He’s just doing ****ing nothing. There are probably more I’m forgetting.
Nah not at all, it was all based on his picking apart of a shot Ricky Burns to be fair. I realised Burns was done but still came out convinced Indongo possessed real class, to the point where I thought he'd give Crawford a decent fight.
