I'm at odds with the whitaker fight, sometimes when I see it I see Whitaker being a slick cutie but other times at certain points in the fight he's practically straight up running.
Whitaker would have out jabbed Mosely and fought much better defensively against Hoya than Mosely did.
De la hoya out jabbed Mosely in the first round 10 punches to 7, Shane couldn`t deal with a stiff jab Hoya should of pumped it constantly like Whitaker used to in his fights, Oscar didn`t seem to have a game plan.
Oscar won that one too but he's a tranny, a ****** (allegedly), a predatory non hetero with an eye for younger men, a liar, coke fiend and a gigantic phoney, so I'm glad they robbed him and gave it to Shane.
Fishnets got robbed. People point to the punch stats, but Mosley landed most of those punches in 1 round...I believe it was round 10. He lost most of the rounds, so he lost the fight. I remember I had Fishnets winning 8-4 or 7-5.
Me and some coworkers were in Vegas for that fight and watched in closed circuit with about 50 others. It was pretty unanimous that Oscar won. It was also the first time that I had drank in 2 years- some dude in the back (we were in the front) kept obnoxiously yelling about how much he won during the post fight interview. I stood up, turned around and yelled, STFU! I’m trying to listen...pretty much the whole place shut up. Not that I’m some type of bad ass or anything but I did get away with it.
Being brought up on UK boxing like Eubank Benn ect I remember Oscar being a breath of fresh air at the time and I so wanted to get behind this smiling good guy in the ring but it just seemed to me looking on(without much boxing knowledge) that he was forever coming out on the wrong side in close fights,he always took it well n all with good grace. Talk about these deluded Canelo fans that think he won or deserved a draw cause he fought well,those Oscar fights with Mosely n Mayweather were toe toe affairs and were imo true pick em fights so even now thinking back whilst I liked Oscar you could hardly claim robbery whoever lost although that second Mosely fight were pretty clear cut.
