Yeah, I’m actually more familiar with doping in cycling too. I know that early when EPO was first introduced some riders deaths were attributed to that but I haven’t about 10 riders dying in 2004. Lance was still at his peak then.
As far as paying for it later, I’m sure many athletes are betting on medicine being able to offset whatever damage they may have in their 20-30s. Plus, I think athletes are doping smarter now.
I guess I reached the point where I had to ask myself why do I even care? Of course they’re doping and frankly I would too, to be quite honest with you. Again, these men and women have (if they’re reasonably smart) not only secured their children’s future but their great grandchildren’s futures as well. Why be bent out of shape over athletes doping but not musicians? Or actors and actresses?

 

If there is money to be made and we are talking about life changing money, people will cheat. You are only a cheater if you get caught

Dude, there were 20 dead cyclist between 87-90 when EPO first hit the scene. In 2004 Pantani was one of those dead by cocaine overdose. His EPO use and fall from grace led him to that OD.

They could lose money for now but keep their faces and credibility. That can take them higher and longer for many years to come. There will always be another Canelo (Mayweather, others in the past) to become their new cash cows but losing their credibility can have bigger damage entirely. Particularly in this case when the whole boxing world is looking to see how NSAC handles this. This is a much bigger issue than what one fight money can generate.

 

Oscar wants the fight put off as long as possible and wants to keep Golovkin inactive. If the fight is put off it is a great advantage for El Pollo, they want Golovkin to get as old as possible................

The fight ain't happening, This news literally kills ticket sales etc, nobody is going to plan to make the trip to see the fight knowing it could be canceled at any moment.
