What do you want to hear? I think Davies Jnr vs Syrowatka is prob relatively clear what we can expect.
Davies Jnr dominated the first fight till he ran out of gas in the end and got TKOd in the last round. If Davies can avoid the big punches he should win this quite easily by a wide UD ...... Syrowatka is average, i can not help myself but he is nothing special, he was the big underdog in the first fight and was losing, even knocked down a couple of rounds before.

Now I got your point! Btw about Davies vs Syrowatka - yes this fight brings excitement because it's not one sided at all, but on the other hand it's on a level that you need to be a die hard fan to know more details about it. I always sucked when there are fights on a british level or the early morning asian ones...

The Pole hit Davies with huge, flush punches within the first round of the bout. Davies was being defensively lazy, increasingly so as the bout progressed. In rounds 10, 11 and 12 he did nothing but absorbing a one sided beating. He appears to be a fighter who simply isn't built for a high tempo 12 round fight at this level.

Syrowatka was officially knocked down, but replays show that he stumbled off balance after a very hard punch. Try to compare that to Davies Jr going down face first and looking like he had just been hit by a car during his knock down. Which one do you put more merit into?

@CST80 just watched The Shape of Water....... 4 oscars for this WTF, the movie is pretty average. First this russian accent was horrible acting, second the top secret "thing" doesn't have a camera and it's not secured at all... that was a complete bull****. Fine idea but there were some really annoying things that didn't match to the movie at all. That's why I prefer to watch oldschool movies...

I relooked my scorecard for the first fight, i had it:
    R1 10-9 Davies Jnr
    R2 10-9 Davies Jnr
    R3 10-9 Davies Jnr
    R4 10-9 Davies Jnr
    R5 10-9 Davies Jnr
    R6 10-9 Syrowatka
    R7 10-9 Davies Jnr
    R8 10-9 Syrowatka
    R9 10-8 Davies Jnr
    R10 10-9 Syrowatka
    R11 10-9 Syrowatka
    R12 Syrowatka TKO

So at my card Davies Jnr was leading 7-4 rounds before getting hammered in the last round. I think you are right, Davies was destroyed in the last couple of rounds but still he was dominating the fight before. If he fixes those stamina issues he obviously had in the first fight he should win this.

Of course Syrowatka has another chance to knock him out and it is possible because Davies looked not as he has a body made of iron but still Davies should be able to outbox him if he can go the distance.

I'm sick of people complaining about those who switch because it never stays with those guys it becomes a tar brushing exercise for all those who picked the guy who won. This is a league, people can pick whatever they want. I make my picks roughly once a week and I very rarely switch, other guys switch last minute all the time, it's just the way the league works. As for those who pick tactically, there's been loads of times where guys have thought one person would win but went with the majority, it's nothing new. I mean I reckon Price is a live dog tomorrow, but am I gonna risk a loss, of course not. Does that make me a sheep because I went with Povetkin like everyone else, probably but so what.

As for the odds shifting, the odds were never that far apart in the first place, in a 50/50 fight you will often find people backing the underdog due to the value it presents, if enough people do this the underdog becomes the favourite for the sake of the bookies pockets. Odds are never reflective of a fighter chances, they are reflective of the bookies profit margins. That's why Hatton was even money.

Thirdly, the davies jr fight. There is a long history in boxing of results being repeated in the rematch. There exceptions of course but statistically it's about 90% in favour of whoever won the first fight. For that reason I'm always lazy in rematch analyses and go for whoever won first time round. It doesn't always come off, we all saw Kudryashov dominate his rematch to avenge his loss, but most of the time it goes the way of the first.

Well, it was set in the 1960's, so I get why they didn't have a camera, but still, they probably should have had a camera, it wasn't set in the Stone Age. As far as why I loved it, I may have been biased going in, but as a kid, I was obsessed with Universal Horror films, and probably my second favorite behind The Wolf Man is The Creature From The Black Lagoon, which this was almost a direct sequel to, and its actually kind of a quasi remake of he Creature Walks Among Us, which is where they captured the Creature and descale him, and dress him in clothes, not close to the original, but a fun watch regardless. Anyway, the original, the Creature is madly in love wit Julia Adams, gazing longingly at her and kidnapping her near the end, so The Shape Of Water was kind of a reversal of that scenario. I also happen to love the French films of Jean Renoir and Louis Malle, and the 50's soapers from Douglas Sirk and Vicente Minnelli, so as a combo of all three I loved it. But its definitely not for everyone.

Want to challenge the champion? Just look at the champion's upcoming fight picks. If you feel a pick by the champion will be wrong, post your pick, and announce that you want to challenge for the title!

    Rules:
    - First come first serve on challenges issued
    - No stacking of challenges
    - Can not challenge a fight more than 10 days away
    - If champions change their pick after challenge has been set, they forfeit their title and it goes to the challenger who then becomes the interim champion, to fight for the vacant title against the next challenger
    - Only 1 challenge per day, although a champion can have unlimited defenses per day
    - Anyone who loses or forfeits a title fight, must wait until 3 challenges occur before they can challenge again. If no one has challenged the champion,
    This content is protected
(even those who have lost/forfeit/participated in the past 3 title fights) can challenge the day of the fight they are challenging (12AM est)
    - The champion should try to place their picks as soon as they can, to give the field enough time to challenge their picks.
