And yes, such comments are worthy of punishment. Wishing he had killed Szpilka, who has a family, is about as low as it gets.

I'm very disappointed, I was actually beginning to like Wilder.

Good to see the WBC has some integrity at least, but I fear it will probably be a pretty minor penalty.

Good. That is disgusting coming from a champion. It's not the first time he has said it either.

Hopefully as punishment they make him fight a live fighter.

Yes. But even a minor punishment is better than nothing.

For a start, Wilder ought to apologize and retract his comments, and then I'd be OK with just a fine.

Would you rather have a robot with no charisma who talks as if they're reading out from a script on a teleprompter?

I say let the man speak as he feels.

As the great GGG would say ''Max... This is boxing''

People do die in the ring and outside of it because of boxing. You can’t be saying those comments. What if Wilder’s next opponent was to die? Would he face a murder charge because it’s pre-meditated? He’s said he wants a body...

Great they'll punish him for making distasteful remarks but make excuses for the pale, ginger PED cheat....great....just great.

Then his feelings are wrong to begin with.

    Wilder IS a teleprompter.
Everything coming out of his mouth is somebody' s else material picked up from the medias.
The guy doesn't have any original thoughts by himself but tries hard to pretend the opposite.

How can it be murder child, when boxing is his job?

If Joshua was to die at his hands, then not even the best QC lawyer in the land would be able to press any charges

The problem is not Wilder's comments, it's people who seek high and low for ways to be offended.

Because it’s pre meditated. He’s said he wants to kill someone in the ring then goes on to do it... that’s not his job. His job is to defeat his opponent.

When Kovalev promised to punish Pascal and end Ward's career, you all loved it didn't you?

But now it's Wilder, we now need a change in the law on freedom of speech.

He said he would finish Ward, which in Russia that basically means death.
