Very little, you might be surprised to hear, AJ won his rounds with a few jabs here and there... Parkers rounds he won more clearly with some decent power punches, but all in all, about 116-112 AJ was about fair imo.

I had it Rd1, 5 and 6 to Parker, and 2, 3 and 4 to AJ, with AJ then taking the fight away from Parker from there on in, Parker taking another one round from that point on.

The ref not helpful to Parker with being overly keen to stop inside fighting and it was a poor performance from the ref. Parker did well but the reach disadvantage was simply too much.

Not very impressive from AJ and Wilder won't be thinking he has much to worry about

AJ was in command but did not throw a lot and didn't give Parker a lot to think about.

Parker's movement and handspeed frustrated AJ. On the other hand Parker was quite happy with AJ not throwing a lot and adapted to his limited offense quite easily.

Parker won 3-4 rounds and boxed and moved very well and honestly displayed a slick defence at times. He fought near the perfect fight.

Ignore the forum and watch the fight yourself. There's a lot of bias on both sides. For what it's worth I thought AJ won close but clear in a largely dull fight.

    1. AJ won by like two rounds in a complete snoozefest
    2. AJ was given absurd scorecards
    3. Neither fighter ever even came close to getting wobbled
    4. The ref absolutely hated any wrestling
    5. AJ's stamina looked pretty unimpeachable
    6. AJ lets the tape go loose on his gloves if he feels any fatigue.

It was close until the end of the 7th - with no more than a round in it either way at that stage. After that, Parker just did not do enough, and lost the last 5 rounds on my card.

Wondering if other top heavyweights would have ate that shot better. Maybe not... Could have definitely iced a few. Always said the key to Price having success would be to embrace his inner glass cannon, but it came too late and wasn't enough in the end.

Fun fact: Barring Teper - Price has scored a knockdown over every man who has beaten him in the pro ranks.

I saw it, kind of. Wasn't paying close attention or scoring it but had it on TV in the background while helping Lil Butt with homework and was afforded plenty of 2-3 minute stretches to quietly observe through upcast eyes while he was puzzling things out for himself. I caught the gist of the fight's narrative flow. It was competitive, highly skilled, ugly in spots. Parker would grind his teeth and show genuine spite in his attacks in spurts, and then let the air come hissing out when Joshua pit together a few glancing power blows or put the anaconda squeeze on him. Joshua for his part showed poise worthy of a champion the few times Parker looked in control, never getting too rattled, trusting himself, using the jab.

I'll of course watch it closely to score it (have it on DVR) but what I already digested was enough to dispel certain foolish claims already seen on here from every faction's reactionaries (that it a. was a robbery, b. was a shutout, c. was a terrible fight, or d. proved that either combatant would lose to XYZ heavyweight [Pov, Wilder, etc] because they looked so "beatable") - all of that, I can already say with certainty, is poppycock.

I was more surprised that Povetkin would get hit like that in the first place against Price...but nevertheless he seemed to take that shot pretty well, recovering quickly.
