Clear win for AJ. 9-3 was an ok score imo.

I must say I'm worried about AJ's chin... Parker on the other hand seems to be packing first class samoan steelchin.

Parker is only 26.. He is far from done!

Clear win for Joshua. I gave Parker a bit more than the judges, but can't really complain. It was good to see Joshua control a fight with his jab and reach.

Another excellent learning fight for him and it makes me want to see him in with Povetkin to see what the Russian does to get past the reach.

The ref wasn't great but AJ was clever by contributing to Parker look sloppy when he tried to come inside.

New Zealand may have lost the final battle but they definitely won the war. :applaudit:

I agree with some of your points but I can’t take away from the solid basic foundation that Parker has as a boxer he is more polished than Wilder. On the other hand Wilder is so fast, unpredictable and athletic that I see him KTFO of the AJ from last night.

I had it initially 116-112 to AJ but that was watching it in the pub last night.

I'm still rough but just rewatched it and had it 1,2,6,7,8, 11 for Parker which would make it a draw.

However I still got the overriding feeling that AJ was the winner.

I've seen old ladies with cancer that could take a punch better than Price.

Anyone notice the scars on Parker's right elbow? I believe it's from his surgeries he had.

Joshua has a lot more experience against top fighters than Wilder does.

Out of the blue ,but screw Eddie Hearn for letting Price fight Povetkin without drug testing and for lying about Wilder not wanting the fight.

Yes it it was harsh criticism but I told you before I love you as a boxing guy but it is just the fact that there is no disguising your bias in scoring which seems to happen in every fight. Come on man 8 rds to Parker? Not even Byrd and Ross would come up with that. Did you not notice the difficulty Parker had in closing the distance throughout the whole fight. He was boppin and a poppin with the jab but in the 1st 4rds he was basically shadow boxing and hardly landed a punch. AJ didn't do much more but he do more. He had the jab going consistently throughout the fight and his lopsided win was based on the jab. This fight was basically a jabathon. Anyone who gave Parker any of the 1st 4 has no clue how to judge a boxing match. Most of those jabs didn't even reach AJ's gloves let alone get through as a scoring punch. He was bereft of ideas on how to close the range against the bigger rangier guy. After 4 Barry urged him to step up the pace and go after AJ. He could see what was happening. Parker won 5 and 6 but only razor thin especially the 5 th. His best rd was the 6th but that was it for him for the rest of the fight. Parker resorted to rushing awkwardly at AJ with telegraphed amateurish swishes which he had little trouble nullifying. In the mean time AJ though unimpressive boxed a cautious controlled intelligent fight and was happy to cruise to a decision. He did go for the ko in the last couple of rds but only halfheartedly. You actually gave Parker the last rd. You are Robinson Caruso with that one. Despite what some have said neither fighter was remotely stunned or hurt. Neither of them landed their best punch. Some of AJ's jabs were more powerful than all but a couple of Parker's shots. All in all it was an unimpressive win but he did only what he had to do. There is one thing that completely destroys some of you self proclaimed judging experts and that is the man himself who humbly acknowledged he was beaten by the better man. If that fight was anywhere near close he would have called robbery. I don't know who this David is but if he scored it draw then I don't want to know him. This rbr thread is very cliquey and it's like there is the same group of you who look at each other to support your flawed dishonest judging. The ref was terrible continually breaking them when they weren't clinching but even a decent ref would have made no difference to that result. AJ out boxes and out brawls him 10 times out of 10. Parker peaked about 6 fights ago and has not improved since and will never get any better than what he is now. I was excited when I first saw him but even then I thought he would never be any higher than about 6th best hw out there which is where he is sitting now. The judges got this one right. Hell even the kiwi judge only gave his countryman 1rd. His eyes are not painted on like some of you. When judging a fight you have to shut out all perceived expectations, all favoritism's, all crowd noise, all tricks from the corner men and all external factors and simply become a robot who see's only red corner and blue corner. If you can do that you will go a long way to coming up with the right score.

Be interested to see IB's card on this, the fight went pretty similar to his prediction in the poll thread.

And one must wonder how would Wilder react to fighting in front of more than 6-8,000 folks. That has to be massive and AJ is immune to it at this point
