No one avoided povetkin, the fraud tested positive for performance enhancement drug which led to the fight being canceled.

How much are you willing to wager that Povetkin will not only lose to Joshua but will get crushed?

Style wise Povetkin poses little threat to Joshua. He's simply too small, not quick enough to get inside effectively and doesn't have the chin to withstand what's coming his way if he tries to force the fight and pressure Joshua. He struggled to a degree with price, who literally just stood still and waited and waited and waited. Price threw very little, so did Povetkin, yet he was still breathing hard between rounds. Povetkin is a gatekeeper at best these days, he's looked nothing like the fighter he was a few years ago.

No Wilder flew home from England which forced the wbc to cancel the fight. Povetkin didn’t receive due process because of that. You see Canelo popped and the fight still hasn’t been canceled. He’s receiving due process. Wilder’s team forced the issue by going home immediately.
After the fight was already terminated it came out that Povetkin was within the legal limit of meldonium. Which shouldn’t have even been put on the ban list to begin with but that’s another story.
    Wilder ducked out.

Wlad beat Povetkin purely from excessive holding and leaning. It was excessive holding to the point that the referee should have issued warnings, deducted points and disqualified him

Wlad did not beat Povetkin off the back of a jab mate. Excessive holding and leaning on won him the fight. Plus a referee looking the other way.

Povetkin is criminally under rated and avoided. However he has looked very old in his last 3 fights, as he is nearing 40. AJ would be the favourite yes against a 40 year old Povetkin.

"A gatekeeper at best these days".....I've never heard as much shyte in my life.

Povetkin is 38, past prime but is still top 3.

He looked flat, tired and apprehensive to me. I used to really rate him, bit either age or lack of magic shakes has taken it's toll. His performance won't have scared anyone.

He won every second of every round bar get knocked back in the 3rd.

Amazingly after getting caught committing to his own punch and getting caught square on the button off a very heavy puncher and still NOT going down suddenly has people claiming he's not only chinny but as you have called him a gatekeeper.

Name me 5 fighters who beat him at heavyweight.

I see POV beating Joshua. He’s more aggressive and effective than Parker was. And Parker held his own rather well against Joshua

POV would be a reall hurdle for Joshua. Hope this fight happens

Yeah, this made me smile about many commentators here. Povetkin got a bit careless because he thought Price was done, and ran into a hook which caught him off-balance. He tried to stay on his feet and technically didn't touch the canvas, so it shouldn't have been ruled a knockdown in the first place.

If Povetkin was hurt, he would have gone down to the canvas without trying to stay on his feet.

I didn't say he is chinny or that he lost rounds against price. What i did see was an aged fighter who looked vulnerable, flat, not particularly quick and the likes of Ortiz, wilder and Joshua would flatten him.

You referred to him as a gatekeeper, I'm not trying to be a ***** but gatekeeper insinuates borderline top 10ish type fighters, that is not Povetkin.
