Povetkin had good tidy skills and is technically better than Parker , but he's also easier to hit than Parker. . He only moves forward and that suits Joshua who will likely land his uppercut flush with ease as Vetkin seems to be open for that punch.
Parker would have been hurt by the uppercut had the ref knew how to officiate a fight , but he won't be anywhere near an AJ fight again , so Joshua will be able to get off on Povetkin and do him some damage inside the wheelhouse.
Vetkin will definitely produce a few scares but at the end of the day Joshua with his size , power and inside skills is all wrong for Povetkin.

He's a gatekeeper in the sense he's not winning a world title. Joshua and wilder will dominate him. He's too old and too small and clearly lost more than a step. His last few performances have showna fighter in decline.

Of course he's in decline and he'd still give a good fight to either champion, but by that definition every fighter bar being a world champion should be classed as a gatekeeper.

Povetkin is predictable with his ''hook happy'' approach. Use a jab and it keeps him at bay. He gets stopped vs Wilder and Joshua. Parker beats him. Ortiz beats him.

In the land of the giants he poses little threat. He was tentative against price, fought in spurts and still looked tired. This is against a man who literally stood right in front of him with ZERO movement. I think his days at the top are over personally.

Could go through every fighter from every division in history and pull the same bull**** you just tried out. None are threats after fight and then they're all bums, frauds, qnd cherry picker

It's funny, the fighters that actually go out and prove it by beating everyone get trolled (today Aj) whil the one hit wonders (fury) or fighters that look the part but lose every time they step up (povetkin types) are the greats, wtf.

Never thought it could get worse but our boxing "fans" are proving to become more ignorant and more of trolls than ever.

It's like everyone is a bum not one fighter it worth holding a belt. Why pretend to follow a sport obviously too complicated for you especially when you believe they're all bums?

Not sure who's side you're on because AJ beat up takam and so quickly beat the fight out of takam where the fight proved to be a massive mismatch.

Povetkin went to war with takam in a back and forth war where it was even after 10 great rounds, povetkin prevailing late but that's what struggling in a fight is.

Some clowns try claiming AJ struggled with Parker, ummm NO. He won very clearly and without any risk of getting caught with anything big.

We can count on or hands the clean effective punchers Parker landed the entire fight. AJ showed great skill last night, more skill than povetkin has shown at any time during his entire career.

If anyone watched that last night and couldn't grasp got truly talented AJ is the fight game is obviously too complicated for them

Povetkin is NOT top 3 GTFO. Povetkin wasn't top 3 when he was ped'ing coming out of his nose.
He's the most over rated hw of my entire 43 years of living.

He's a white takam, proved a single level above him actually. So being honest he's a notch above takam who's never ever capable of beating any hw title holder, any hw title holder ever

From a guy who claims Yarde is a top 175 fighter and beats Kovalev right now I'll take what you said with a pinch of salt.

 Who beats him at HW right now? There's only 1 guy I'd favour over him and that's AJ. Some might argue Wilder. I think no ways, but, let's let it slide. Who else? Povetkin destroyed Takam who took Parker to the wire. Ortiz ... not a chance. He's easily #3 and when you're a top 3 HW you can't be "overrated".

You're correct in the sense that Povetkin beats every heavyweight shorter than 6 foot 4 inches and around his own size. But against top and skilled super heavyweights, he stands no more than 10% of a chance at winning and he only possesses a puncher's chance at best.

That's not anything against him! Just that in the modern heavyweight division, size, physical strength and punching power trumps all.

Well so far we have established that you think Povetkin is a "gatekeeper" and Wlad wasn't a "legitimate" fighter when Fury beat him.....great.....thats very insightful.
