No boxer shorter than 6 foot 4 inches would be favorite to beat modern super heavyweights

Well Povetkin apparently is good at making them odds that this guy just pulled from now where. David Haye beat the 7'0 tall Nicolay Valuev. I guess Haye is good at making up fake odds too. Apparently Corrie Sanders, Ross Purrity and Lamon Brewster are all Kings of making those 10 percent odds since they all knocked out Wlad.

A guy who got starched like an over protected girl by McCall and Rahman would easily lose to a prime Mike Tyson

What are you talking about? I think the problem here is maybe you can't punch, so you assume that nobody can punch.

    That's where you're wrong.

Deontay Wilder: "These guys be usin weight as an excuse."

You can use that as an excuse for why YOU can't do something, but Wilder proved that a guy that almost weight sub 200 and has so-called (chicken legs) is one of the hardest punchers of all time.

Didn't Wilder come in weighing about the same as Ali?

Wasn't the argument last time that Ali couldn't compete? Man, some of ya'll just don't know boxing is what it comes down to.

I used Max Baer as an example of a guy who they thought was crude, but could punch. Do they not say the same about Wilder?

You know, Max Baer killed people in the ring. Is that a hard enough puncher for you?

There are just different types of punchers. Some people are just unbelievable. They are anomalies. Wilder is an anomaly unless you think that every guy out there with Wilder's build are knocking people out cold.

I don't know how people came up with this thread after last night's fight unless they know NOTHING about boxing.

That's a way to beat a guy and this is a way to beat a guy.

    Here is another way.

And yes, I used JJ as an example because JJ beat the hell out of that guy for at least the first 12 rounds, which is how long a fight is today.

Anyway, you are wrong. If you thought what you witnessed was boxing yesterday, you are mistaken.

That was a body builder vs a guy that was allowed to do the same thing over and over and over and over again to the point to where he was competitive and might have to be avoided in the rematch, especially after he watches the film and watches Joshua clearly in pain after Parker landed to his body.

Joshua needs to take a page off of Klitschko and learn the clinch game or he will be reduced to victim status if he can't handle guys that do practically the same thing over and over again.

This is the guy that people think is the superior boxer?

I don't think so. Parker is decent on the back foot, but he is not as capable of boxing as Ortiz, Washington, or even Splizka who was surprisingly skilled despite being undersized. Wilder has fought the boxers and smashed every single one of them.

He will smash Joshua too who will follow Wilder around, without the same skill as Ortiz who knew how to mix things up and was creative with his attacks, plus had a wider variety of punches, with likely just as much power as Joshua if not a bit less.

Joshua is a media creation. What did people see last night?

So what chance do you give Povetkin at beating Wilder, Joshua or Fury in terms of percentage?

If Povetkin fought Joshua, Wilder or Fury 10 times. How many times do you think he'd beat them??

Lol yet Wladimir who is far more skilled than AJ, Deontay Wilder, or Tyson Fury lost to guys named Corrie Sanders, Ross Purrity, and Lamon Brewster. AJ isn't skilled. If you think he is then you are the one who needs to stop watching boxing. If you think Tyson Fury is some kind of legend because he ran from 50 year old Wlad then you should pick another sport to watch. If you think Wilder is some elite heavyweight because he beat up a 55 year old Ortiz who has high blood pressure then I suggest you stick to "futball" or some other sport that is easier to follow.

So why are Joshua, Fury, Wilder and Klitschkos better than every heavyweight shorter than 6 foot 4 inches since 2000 in terms of career accomplishments at heavyweight?

If Wladimir Klitschko lost more times than Wilder and Joshua. Maybe he isn't more skilled? Who knows?

    In heavyweight boxing:
    1) Size > Skills!

    2) Physical strength > Skills

    3) Punching power > Skills

Lol right you put up a video of Jack Dempsy knocking out Jess Willard a bum and that is suppose to mean something?

As I said you Wilder fans are brain dead zombies. Wilder is one the hardest punchers in boxing history because he knocked out a fat old Ortiz? Wait because he took 9 rounds to knock out Eric Molina and Chris Arreola the same fighters AJ and others knocked out quicker?

Lol Max Baer killed a man in the ring? Based on that logic then Mike Tyson, Foreman or Wilder can't punch because neither killed a man in the ring. Various fighters died in the and most of the time they person who killed them weren't big punchers.

None of what you typed has anything to do with this thread of fighters beingunder 6'4 not being able to compete. Go take your Wilder fanboy stuff to somebody cares because I don't and you are now ignored.

It requires skill to use your size effectively. Size is nothing without footwork , footwork is skill.

Usyk schooled the best Super heavyweights in the world in WSB - Joe Joyce, Majidov, Nistor..
He'll likely put on more weight in the pros. I expect him to school everyone. Gassiev will be a big force too.

But a top super heavyweight doesn't have to be more skilled than their opponents if they are much smaller. Carlos Takam is more skilled than Anthony Joshua and lost every round against him. Alexander Povetkin is also more skilled than Anthony Joshua and will probably lose every second of every round of the fight and would probably land 0 punches.

Size > Skills. Joshua and Wilder are proof of this. There are more skilled heavyweights that are smaller but are not as successful because of lack of size.

Usyk has only 3% of a chance at beating Tyson Fury or even Hughie Fury. If anything, Usyk gets badly embarrassed and shamed by both Fury brothers.

Usyk isn't landing a glove on either Fury brother. Joshua will walk through all of Usyk's punches and pound on him until he is flattened. Wilder will keep throwing his right hands until it connects and dismantles Usyk.

There's a reason why Usyk is at cruiser weight and not at heavyweight.
