I was watching German coverage and they were non partisan. When they flashed Lennox Lewis' scorecards where AJ swept the first 4 or 5 I shrieked with disbelief. Lennox went on to say AJ won because he kept JP at the end of his jab. Nah he didnt control anything with his jab did he? I agree JP didn't quitr do enough but AJ doesn't desrve the exaltation. AJ timed JP a handful of times with the jab but it wasnt a Dominant display of cintrolling a smaller guy with tge jab as Lennox was intimating

To be clear, when I say I had it 2-2 I wouldn’t really say that was the ‘Manu Vatuvei official card’- that was me watching as a fan, desperate for Parker to win, with scoring as an afterthought.

Hopefully you picked up from the last sentence of my previous post that I entirely agree with you.

Yeah I think that is a fair assessment. My memory of what happened in those first 4 rounds was pretty different to how I viewed it back on replay last night. My memory, was that Joshua was dominant, cutting off the ring, landing his jab, then watching it back again (albeit with different commentary) I hardly saw any of that.

I'm thinking the sky commentary might have influenced me, I mean I always knew commentary is going to influence you to some degree, but I didn't realise how much, definitely a wake up call for me, but I think you are right, it really comes down to what lens you view those first 4 rounds from.

Showtime commentators were hardly pro-Parker cheerleaders, but anybody that had that audio was probably better off than watching Sky. Best advised is to watch on mute.

All in all I think we're up in arms because AJ didnt deserve to win anything that night. But some ones gotta get the W I guess. They decided , because AJ had more belts, that JP had to 'take them off him" as if he was the challenger. Thats a phantasm right there

You've gotta be pretty hardcore and disciplined to watch a live event like that on mute, especially if you have friends over.

"Yeah lads, I'm turning the sound off now... don't swear at me guys, it's going on mute, we need to score the fight objectively!"

This thread is a real eye opener for me. I'm very much in the camp of Joshua won this fight decisively, and before coming here my impression was that you really needed to be a AJ hater to even make it close. So you can imagine my surprise when I saw knowable posters like IB having Parker 5-1 up after 6.

I listened to the fight live on talksport and they scored the fight 116-112 AJ.
    1. AJ
    2. AJ
    3. JP
    4. AJ
    5. JP
    6. JP
    7. AJ
    8. AJ
    9. JP
    10. AJ
    11. AJ
    12. AJ

Since I've watched the fight a number of times, always on mute, and my card looks like this.

    1. JP (close)
    2. AJ (close)
    3. AJ (close)
    4. AJ
    5. JP (close)
    6. JP
    7. AJ
    8. AJ
    9. AJ
    10. AJ
    11. AJ
    12. AJ Joshua wins 117-111

The second half of the fight was impressive stuff from Joshua. Snapping back Parker's head back with the jab consistently and taking back very little in return. I respect scoring the fight anywhere between 118-110 and 116-112.

For the people who didn't see it in that range, which round of my card do you most strongly disagree with? I'll rewatch it and give a detailed brake down, but I don't have time to do the full 12 today.

Okay, I rescored it, this time watching the Sky broadcast, wow:lol: the Froch ass kissing fest was abhorrent. It was almost as biased as Atlas and Tessitore during the Pac-Horn match. But as with those two, I never let outside influences effect me, I can totally block them out.

Round 1 Joshua 10-9 Very Close
    Round 2 Parker 10-9
    Round 3 Parker 10-9 Close
Round 4 Joshua 10-9 Very Close
    Round 5 Parker 10-9
    Round 6 Parker 10-9 Close
Round 7 Parker 10-9 Very Close
    Round 8 Joshua 10-9
    Round 9 Parker 10-9
    Round 10 Joshua 10-9 Close
    Round 11 Parker 10-9 Close
    Round 12 Joshua 10-9 Close

    115-113 Parker

    116-112, 114-114 are also fine.

Quite frankly, this is one of those rare occasions where scorecards like this would be perfectly acceptable. Multiple 10/10 rounds wouldn't be a stretch. The fight was that close.
    117-115, 116-114, 116-113, 117-117, 116-116, 115-115

The fight was that close, I switched on Rounds 1, 3, 11 and 12.

The first, third and fourth rounds, there's very little landed between, you can barely separate the two, they're as close to even as you can get, it would be acceptable to score all three 10/10. The seventh Joshua didn't land enough up top, Parker slipped many of his jabs, and he was plugging away, hammering AJ to the body off and on throughout the round, it was enough for me to edge it in Parker's direction, its one of the few rounds even Froch had 10/10, that one deserves a rewatch from many of you. I will admit, I was a little distracted by something, (the cellphone, I was ignoring a call:lol:) during the last two rounds yesterday, and didn't concentrate as much as I should have, and flat out missed the last few seconds of the 12th, which is where AJ did his best work, so I got that one wrong, but it was still fairly close with Parker doing some decent body work.

That being said, my original score, aside from the 11th and 12th is perfectly fine as well.

These people also had Lacy beating Calzaghe by 1 point.........but they`re not biased.

Actually I had Calzaghe beating Lacy by shutout wise ass, and beating Hopkins by 3 or 4 rounds, so take your accusations of bias and stick them up your ass.

Grow up, learn to score, and stop being a nasty c***. Oh, one more thing. One more nationalistic thread from you, and I'll ban you for a month.
