You’re going to get flamed. This thread was only for people who agreed with OP. You can’t say Joshua didn’t win otherwise you’re a hater who has some agenda. Jeez IB get with the program

Agree they were similar fights. I had both GGG and Joshua retaining their belts, the former just a tad more comfortably (115-113 as opposed to 114-114)

Any anti-Joshua sentiment on this forum is more than balanced out by the strong pro-Joshua nut-hugging element.

Having the OP & James Smith as active members of the forum balances out about 100 anti-Joshua types.

The Kiwi judge sucked, so did the ref & so does compubox.

What is this? A scoring thread or a thread on why people dislike Joshua? Joshua won easily without trying, thanks to Parker and a ref.

This was the worst title fight since....Chris Byrd vs. TOS and no one cared much about that one.

I applaud Joshua for taking on a real opponent, but what I saw made the air stink, and this includes the judges and the ref. Parker should be ashamed. If he was drilled or hurting, okay play some defense. This guy just refused to engage and knew he was down on points with next to nothing hard landed on him.

Joshua is the best in the world. I think he beat Wilder comfortably but would have his hand's full vs. Povetkin.

I think the problem is wilder and Joshua are seen as the big superstars ATM. And yet' both their last fights have been won by nullyfying their opponents using negative longer reach tactics more than actually going out and beating them.

Wilder just waited for the shorter reach fighter to come into him and just threw the right hand. To stop it. No real boxing ability needed. Just nullified him. Joshua much the same....everytime parker went forward to exchange...he backed off. Its spoiler tactics. Their not really outboxing anyone with skill. Its just beating them by nullyfying them. The same thing Hopkins, may eather to an extent and Klitschko we,re criticized for. Canelo done it to golovkin as well...just spammed the right hand everytime
GGG tried to go in with him.

Hard to criticize when their winning but next big superstars do me a favor. Leave that for guys like golovkin/pacman/lomachenko etc. Guys that went out and got the win not by concentrating on just nullyfying their opponents.

Obviously your wishful thinking is making you think you're seeing things you're clearly not.

There was NOT a single shot that Parker landed that had any effect not affect on AJ. You're trying to see something at the end of round 10. If you actually watched it and paid attention you would know AJ slipped on the mat with his left foot which made him look like he stumbled forward from a punch, not the fact of what happened.

Next time, pay attention and if it's actually something you believe to change a round especially on decide viewing, you should understand what you're seeing in that ring

Lots if what goes on in there is very subtle and the untrained eye hasn't a clue what is actually seeing.

Joshua has been boxing for like 7 or 8 years or something stupid.

What he has achieved is remarkable, is he the new Ali? No of course not but he is a legitimate unified world champion with a very good resume. IF he beats Wilder then his resume puts him a lot nearer the top of the pile than his haters would bare to admit.

In terms of hate, Joshua has the following groups to deal with:

    The ghetto wilder fans
    Nationalistic Americans
    Racist white english people
    The "anti-matchroom hardcore snobs"
    Tyson Fury fans

Thats a sizable catchment of people whom no matter what he does will never give him any credit, and will go to extremes to play down anything he achieves.

For those of us left (normal people) i think we see joshua for what he is, a developing talent with a very good resume and achievements who will be interesting to continue to follow

Lol. Lighten up stamina. You're a decent poster most of the time but your love for AJ is embarrassing. Weren't you 100% sure an was going to ko Parker?

Compubox also thought that Pac outlanded Marquez in their third fight.

Compubox is sometimes outright wrong and it's not a "once in a blue moon" occurrence either.

The best power shot that landed for Parker was a left hook after a head butt?

Its truly mind boggling either way how some score fights and not even actually counting the punches landed ( Stevie Wonder could probably score this one..lol ) but ignoring the criteria if which fights are scored....effective aggression, ring generalship..etc...

Jesus, even some decent you tube channels have got this completely backwards....lol...:scared1

I like AJ, I DO think he is the best heavyweight in the world right now. That said.. I was hoping for a Parker upset. Joe is brethren, plain and simple. Whilst I never believed Joe would beat him, I knew there was a chance.

Watched the fight live and watched it twice since.

The only round I could give to Joe was the sixth. I can't see what you see at all. Joshua won the first 5 on the jab alone. Joe threw his fist more.. but it was hardly landed except to the body about 5 or 6 times in those first 5 rounds. The sixth to me is clear cut.. Joe got the better of the brief exchanges. The later part of the fight, AJ won each round more convincingly than the last. Joe just couldn't find an answer for the Klitschko'esque boxing style that AJ used. Rob McCraken and AJ's camp basically got it exactly right.. whilst boring, they removed any threat by using AJ's physical advantages correctly.

Joe needed to go for broke. He needed to take the risk of being caught in order to actually put pressure on AJ, he just didn't or couldn't do it.

This is not an exact science.. but I just am completely baffled how one person sees a draw when I see something completely different. I am not saying you are wrong and I am right, it just illustrates how inexact scoring can be.
