Manny's a small ass dude, he's old, far removed from his prime (if not completely shot), and he's a part time boxer and full time politician.

Matthysse's the only dude to have stopped Taylor, who took Broner deep. They say power is the last to go, so. Joe Diaz has already seen Pac up close twice...

I don't know how to pick this one.

Oh, and Freddie's out. Pac is being freaking trained by Buboy... Buboy's a true homie and a friend till the end... but WTF does he know about strategies and in-fight plan changes?

Restituto Fernandez has been in Pac's corner since long before he met Freddie Roach. You think Pac after 23½ years in the game isn't pretty much self-sufficient? Just like Wladimir Klitschko after Emmanuel Steward passed away, he just needs a familiar, comforting voice & face, that's all.

True but where he’ll be missed is in training, Freddie pushed him and didn’t allow him to half ass it. He was honest with Manny, in the fight I don’t see it as a huge deal, in training I see it as a problem. Just my two pennies.

Yeah but at this point he has been through the routine so many times, Pac doesn't need that. He isn't some gym newbie walking in day one needing a personal trainer to motivate him. He knows what he needs to do, and when, all throughout camp, and to be honest he was listening to Freddie less & less as their relationship deteriorated the last few years so it probably doesn't make a lick of difference that Roach is now gone. Pac's going to work exactly as hard as he wants to, when he wants to, and that would be true with or without Roach's presence. I think he used to respect him like that, where Roach could rein him in and tell him what's what, but not anymore. He was just expensive baggage as far as Manny was concerned, at this point. Besides, Manny hasn't had anything close to Freddie's full attention for years. Roach has an entire, expanding stable of fighters currently.

Fair point...I still think it’s an issue, but perhaps I’m overstating it.

It's been a razor blade slide down into the depth's for Manny Pacquiao since May 2nd, 2015. This is a good fight and nobody care's.
There is a fantasy fight thread about Floyd stepping into Canelo's place to fight Golovkin and that thread is lit. Floyd ain't fighting no GGG , ever so they need to cut that out.
I'm happy for this scrap because Manny is not holding any belts hostage and Lucas is about at the same level now so it's fair.

Any possibility of TKO in your opinion?

Apparently if he gets past Matthysse, the next (and perhaps last) fight Pac wants is Lomachenko.

 Not sure he realizes how awkward that might be, splitting from your longtime promoter on acrimonious terms and then dropping in a casual "heeeey, btw, mind if I borrow your new cashcow for my swansong? :D"

This is precisely the scenario that Arum wants. If he believes that Lomachenko has a better than decent chance of beating Pacquiao, he'll be salivating at the thought of the match up.

Who do you think takes this?
